il paguro ristorante pizzeria In Alghero

We were there in September and it was truly a gem. The food was excellent and the waiters were very friendly. We spent a wonderful afternoon on the terrace. Highly recommended if you're in Fertilia, as I don't think there's another place quite like this restaurant.

Went for lunch. Was told much of the menu wasn't available as it was lunchtime(!), including pizza not offered at lunchtime for some strange reason. Annoyingly we only found this out after trying to order. All very odd despite being called Ristorante "Pizzeria" il Paguro! Roasted boar also wasn't available which was my second choice. So in the end we were left with a very limited selection of lunchtime choices which was disappointing. Outdoor patio gazebo is very nice to sit in, but unfortunately the roof structure helps the cigarette smoke to linger for all the non-smoking patrons while eating. Service seemed abit off to me, they weren't particularly busy at all but it almost felt like they were overwhelmed. Desserts were good, though nothing exceptional enough to make me return. I have many favourite restaurants in the Alghero/Fertilia area so don't think I'll be returning il Paguro.

The goal was actually to visit a different restaurant every evening of our stay... Somehow it didn't work out... We've been there three times now, had pizza, spaghetti with seafood for two, fried calamari, beef steak with spinach, and dessert each time... All the dishes were excellent, the service very warm and attentive. An atmosphere you'd imagine and enjoy. What can I say...we've reserved a table again for today!!!!

We had pizza, quattro formaggi, and lasagna. For dessert, we had tiramisu, which was truly delicious. It was busy, so we had to wait a bit longer. The mixed salad was a decent size, and the dressing, like everywhere else in Italy, is homemade. Friendly staff and good value for money. We were satisfied.

Ristorante di sostanza, qualità e buona materia prima. Sicuramente la migliore scelta per Fertilia. Abbiamo preso gli antipasti di pesce, davvero ottimi. Ottimo anche il pesce arrosto. Servizio cortese, attento e molto professionale. Anni 80 nel senso di tanto ma tanto "mestiere. Unica nota stonata: abbiamo ordinato una cotoletta per il bimbo, e ci è stata servita una industriale da supermercato. Errore nostro a non rimandarla indietro. Per il resto consigliato
