Really delicious food for everyone and quick happy service

The food was very tasty. However, everyone else got their food before me, and I had to wait over an hour (!!) for my noodles. The portions are rather small and not for those with a very large appetite.

"Great location, solid cuisine – but room for improvement in service: Il Merlo Nero in Garda" Located directly on the Lungolago Regina Adelaide, Il Merlo Nero Ristorante offers a stunning view of the Bay of Garda. The location is undoubtedly a highlight – especially at sunset, when you sit outside and gaze out over the lake. The menu is classic Italian with a focus on fish, pasta, pizza, and Mediterranean cuisine. The quality of the dishes is solid; some dishes, such as the grilled branzino or octopus, were well prepared, while others – such as the au gratin starter or the hamburger dish – were less than convincing. Prices are mid-to-upper range, which is understandable given the location. What stands out: • The outdoor terrace right on the water is particularly charming. • Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available. • Restrooms and a baby changing room are available – family-friendly. • Service quality varies: Friendly waiters alternate with less attentive ones; individual comments or gestures towards guests seemed inappropriate. • During busy periods, long waits and mix-ups with orders can occur. My conclusion: A restaurant with a prime location and solid cuisine that still has potential in terms of service and organization. If you come for the view and want to eat in a relaxed atmosphere, you'll find what you're looking for here. Those who value a smooth process should be patient.

Excellent meal. Awesome service. Lovely setting. It was a very hot night so we struggled with the heat but only Mother Nature to blame on that.

We had two stratospheric seafood starters! We didn't expect them to be so good being on the lake. Kind and professional waiters. Highly recommended place.

Ordered some drinks but the waiter didn't understand or know the drink i asked for!!! So order something else instead... But a older guy was constantly repeating the drink i first wanted in Italian... I felt he was taking the fun out of us... Not very friendly i must say.. If he wanted to comment on it he should do it in private.. Not in front of paying customers... Very rude and hurt by his actions.. He obviously works there and should know better especially as we are paying with our cash which we have worked hard for.!!!

Locale carino con plateatico e veranda adiacente al lago. Cucina non male, buon pesce ma servizio che lascia molto a desiderare. Il personale dovrebbe essere più attento soprattutto il signore più anziano. A volte un sorriso in più o una parola verso la clientela vale di più di un buon piatto. Probabilmente il fatto che sia un ristorante turistico questo non importa perché il giro di clientela è sempre diverso.
