Pizza was not that good. Pasta was quite good tho. The service person was slow and not that friendly.

Had an incredible meal at Melarancio! The food was absolutely perfect. I highly recommend the sea bass with apple and orange—it was a unique and delicious highlight of our trip to Rome. Great service and atmosphere too, and as for Niko he’s the great.

Much better food and service than I would have expected. Staff truly care and want to give you a delicious meal. Vegan accommodations too! Genuinely delicious and much better than it seems. Staff are so kind. Totally recommend

I had lunch at Melarancio. Although it's located in the center of Rome, just a few hundred meters from Piazza del Popolo and could be considered a tourist restaurant, it's actually a quality establishment, both culinary and personal. Nico is a person who knows how to advise and makes you feel at home with friends. I'll be back.

Excellent service from the very attentive waiters (our waiter was named Nico and he was super friendly). The price is very good for the quality. 100% recommended!

Excellence in taste and courtesy! Exquisite food and a fantastic atmosphere, but it's the staff that makes the difference. 01/02/2026: You eat well and spend very little € 10 per person the owner and his daughter are two extraordinary and helpful people The thing that amazed and surprised me was that at the time of payment the father was selling the EXTRAORDINARY freshly baked Pastiera at an EXCEPTIONAL price € 6 I WILL RETURN
16/12/2025: For €42, we had dinner for four. We each ate: 4 first course samples + 1 fried calamari, scampi, and cod with potatoes, 2 bottles of water, 1 jug of white wine + 2 jugs of draft coke + 2 slices of tarts. Simple, good food, freshly cooked. The serving staff in the evening is friendly, empathetic, kind: and they don't throw plates on the table without even looking you in the face, and if you make a request, they accommodate you and don't pretend not to hear or understand. I will always return in the evening in the hope of being served by these two, kind and courteous. This evening, Giuseppe, the owner, came directly to ask us what we were choosing for the second course. It's a restaurant I recommend for a low-cost evening with unpretentious but home-made and good cuisine.

17/01/2026: We're staying diagonally across the street at "The Guardian Hotel," and this restaurant immediately caught our eye! We finally went there today! And we weren't disappointed! The owner gave us a super friendly welcome, and Anna, in a great mood, served us right away, guided us through the evening, and engaged us in lovely small talk! Her English is perfect! We've been to Italy many times, but we definitely had the best carbonara we've ever had here, along with a fantastic wine! This restaurant really has something special! Judging by what we saw at the neighboring tables, service and customer satisfaction are top-notch! If there were 10 stars to give, they'd get 10! 🙂🙂 It perfectly rounded off our stay in Rome!
11/01/2026: We were in Rome to celebrate New Year's Eve at this restaurant. It was a fantastic choice: the food, the atmosphere, the staff... If we return to Rome, we'll definitely go back! There were very few tourists in the restaurant that night, and lots of locals, which was a pleasant surprise for us!
