Fantastic trattoria, with a rustic appearance and flavors rooted in tradition. Excellent food, courtesy of the staff and price absolutely in line with the topology of the restaurant and the location.

Experience to be redone. Very interesting menu. We tried everything, as far as possible, also thanks to the courtesy of the staff who allowed us to taste various first courses. All really delicious. We will definitely be back, business trips permitting. Highly recommended.

A very traditional place and typical Tuscan tradition. Very good food, service a little less, managed by a somewhat grumpy owner. Prices not exactly low but reasonable

Excellent home cooking but refined. The raw material is excellent. Large wine list, but the house wine is also really good. Excellent welcome and kindness.

A pleasant surprise in Lucca was the Il Mecenate restaurant. Traditional dishes from Lucca and Tuscany prepared with quality ingredients. A tavern for those who want to find something different, ancient, without falling into experimentation. Very professional and courteous staff under the watchful eye of the owner.

Molto carino. Locale Curato con una atmosfera abbastanza calorosa. Colori caldi, sedie di legno e ambiente rustico. Il locale si presenta bene e il servizio e' stato veloce. I camerieri in particolari erano molto solerti a sostituire pane e acqua e ci hanno portato delle buone olive per iniziare. Il proprietario sembra essere l' unico a prendere le comande ma non abbiamo riscontrato problemi nel servizio cosa che invece temevo. Abbiamo entrambi preso i ravioli di zucca i quali venivano servite con briciole di cantucci. Il piatto e' buono e la misura e' giusta tuttavia personalmente penso che il piatto fosse leggermente troppo dolce. Considerando che tutto sommato aveva una discreta quantità di burro insieme ai cantucci assumeva un sapore più simile ad un dessert che un primo. Servizio celere, personale veloce ed efficiente. Nelle mie patate di contorno ho trovato un pezzetto di carne. Qualche dettaglio qua e la da correggere nel servizio.

Ottimo ristorante. Cibo eccellente, servizio attento e curato, carta dei vini molto ricca. Il prosciutto di antipasto era favoloso, così come il flan di peperoni. I tortelli di zucca li consiglio, buonissimi, e la torta di pere era da urlo.
