Seldom was a recommendation by my friends more welcome! "Il Mattarello" appears to be a showcase of everything delicious Romagna has to offer from the oven and the cooking fire.
We limited ourselves to buying food to take away, but you can also have your plate of pasta or the filled type of piadina which is called "crescione" on the premises. Another speciality is the so-called "tortello alla lastra", two square layers of dough with a filling in between, which is typical of the Santa Sofia area, located in the heart of the northern Apennines, between Florence and Forlì.
Their various types of filled pasta, both on the spot and to take away (and to cook at home) is more food to die for.
Also, the staff (who are the owners of the place) are a delight to have a chat with, and they are very keen to explain all the details regarding each type of preparation.

A little place to always keep in mind, both for consumption on the spot and for a tasty takeaway.
The former are very remarkable, as are watercress, piadine, and tortelli alla lastra.
Quick and courteous, as well as good in the kitchen.

Excellent egg pasta with ready meals or takeaway. The lasagna and all the egg pasta products are delicious. The slab ravioli is recommended

New management by Cristina and Milena, yesterday the inauguration was a success, exquisite pizza by the slice, tasty tortelli in the slab, Romagna piadina at the top! Very good.

Ho pranzato qui per la prima volta oggi, in quanto non avevo mai assaggiato i tortelli alla lastra e la persona che mi accompagnava ci teneva che li sentissi. Grazie alle gentilissime signore che gestiscono e servono in questo locale ho avuto un'ottima prima esperienza, inoltre ho mangiato il più buon ragù di lepre della mia vita !
Diventerà una tappa obbligatoria per quando sarò di passaggio!

Ogni volta che in moto svalichiamo il Passo della Calla, una tappa al Mattarello, a mangiare i tortelli alla lastra, è obbligatoria.
Personale gentilissimo, cibo buono, fresco e di qualità.
