A lovely place on Via delle Volte, quaint and well-decorated. The service was excellent and fast, but I wasn't entirely sold on the food, especially the duck pappardelle. The pasta was fresh, but the sauce didn't quite hold together, perhaps because the duck pieces were too large. The tortelli with ricotta and mushrooms were good, but too delicate, the mashed potatoes with salami were too salty... and the cold cuts weren't that great. Anyway, it's a matter of personal preference, worth a try.

I've never had such a good salami with mashed potatoes in Ferrara, truly amazing! Not to mention the pumpkin cappellacci. Super cute, very intimate place. Prices are average. If I may, the only advice I'd give is to increase the portions slightly because everything is so good you'll eat even if you're not hungry anymore! Five well-deserved stars!

A beautiful restaurant nestled within ancient walls in the center of Ferrara. It's rustic and welcoming, with many paintings hanging on the walls and a traditional Ferrarese menu (pigeon, rabbit, etc.). Friendly, helpful staff, and a female-run business. The pumpkin cappellacci, pasta with beans, rabbit, and zuppa inglese are delicious. I highly recommend it if you're passing through Ferrara. Reservations are not possible; show up early in person.

Had the salama da sugo and the minestrone - lovely, lots of flavour. A gem along the streets of Ferrara, that seemed to be a staple for locals - don’t hesitate to enter.

The management is well organized. Unfortunately, since they don't accept reservations, if you arrive a little late you risk missing out. The cappellacci and salami are good. Tagliatelle with mushrooms and culatello could be improved. Wine is available by the glass and a few bottles (Lambrusco and Sangiovese Superiore). The price is in line with expectations and the quality of the dishes. We'll be back!

Abbiamo pranzato durante una visita a Ferrara. Minestre buone ma non abbondanti. Servizio (da parte di qualche personale di sala) da rivedere: capisco che si debba cercare di accontentare e servire anche chi ancora aspetta ad entrare, ma mettere fretta ad ordinare ancor prima di essersi seduti a tavola è sinonimo di poca attenzione alla clientela.
