We ate and drank very well. The price was fair. I recommend it for the food; everything was good. We'll be back.

Today, Monday, August 25, 2025, while out for a walk in Barrea, we went to lunch at the "Il Guado della Valle" restaurant in Civitella Alfedene. The location is very quaint, and you can choose between an indoor or outdoor table. It has free parking, though not a large one. It goes without saying that on busy days, it fills up quickly. We ordered two "pappardelle with porcini mushrooms," two sausages, a side of baked potatoes and a side of sautéed chicory, and for dessert, a panna cotta and a chocolate boccolotto, along with two coffees. The food, which was overall decent, is only three stars because I found the pappardelle with porcini mushrooms a bit warm, meaning they didn't seem to have been prepared a few minutes earlier. I must also admit, they were very quick to bring our dishes after we ordered. In fact, I gave the service five stars, and I also gave the waiters a tip. I think it was the chef's oversight, and I hope that when I return next time, it won't happen again, thanks also to this review. In any case, I would recommend this restaurant. And I would return. I'm attaching the receipt to confirm my review.

We found this place by chance along our route. We had a great time, the food was excellent, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Prices were average. We highly recommend it. See you soon!

The roe deer chitarra pasta is a bland dish, the cheeses are good. The portions are decent, and the bill is fairly reasonable.

We were at this beautiful, very characteristic restaurant last Sunday for lunch....we are a family of 4 with different needs...the food is exceptional, authentic and unique and the waiters are very professional and kind, ready to satisfy our every need....absolutely to return

Everything good, quality, freshness, kindness

Красивый, антуражный ресторан с простой едой! Заезжали на обед, заказывали мясо и жареный сыр с трюфелем. К сожалению, мясо было жестким, особенно шашлычки… Сыр тоже был достаточно резиновым! Вкусным было вино и паста с грибами.

Posto tipico e molto particolare, personale gentilissimo e si mangia davvero bene da consigliare sicuramente prezzi onesti per prodotti di qualità.
