If you are looking for elegance, the place is not for you. If you want to eat well, absolutely recommended. Everything of excellent quality, super generous portions. Fast service. Also friendliness among the staff.

Fantastic food at affordable prices! Classic atmosphere of a home-made trattoria, very helpful waiters always in the mood to exchange a few jokes, smiling. The host was spectacular, we got lost in chatter for a moment which made the evening even more pleasant. Truly highly recommended for both quality and prices!

My family and I had dinner here last night and I think the word "magical" can perfectly summarize the experience we had at the "il Grottino" restaurant.
A family-run restaurant that seems to come straight out of a fairy tale, an exceptional host (attentive to the customer and very friendly) and excellent food (genuine, enjoyable and tasty): these are the ingredients that make this trattoria a true pearl in the heart of Città di Castello.
We had a really good time and hope to return soon!

Sono cliente abituale del ristorante da anni e non mi ha mai deluso.
Domenico,il titolare, si occupa in prima persona dell’accoglienza e degli ordini. La cucina è un fantastico mix che sa di casalingo e raffinato insieme e sempre con una storia dietro ( come per esempio per “gli Strascinati”).
Menu sempre variegato e adatto, ambiente ricco di dettagli di cura e amore e sempre pulito e ordinato.

Siamo state presso questo ristorante a cena e ci siamo trovate benissimo. Il capo è un signore molto gentile che ci ha offerto prodotti di ottima qualità, dagli antipasti al dessert. Tortino al cioccolato buonissimo!
