What a fantastic restaurant. Everything was great start to finish.

A truly intimate and exclusive place at a very honest price in my opinion, in 20 hours of overnight stay, with the help of the nectar of the Langhe in the blood, it felt like being at home. Intimate and exclusive, with the view of the vineyards directly from the bed of their splendid and renovated rooms. Another note of merit goes to the cuisine and to the chef ALE, who after eating also took us aboard a magnificent vintage vehicle, around the vineyards. The restaurant is in new STUNNING surroundings. Everything is beautiful done. We had tasting menu for lunch with only fish. Some of the dishes were great especially the pasta with mussels but one with fish on a hot stone lacked taste and that turn it to only 4 star for me. Else it would be 5. I would visit if you have not been here. Many of the dishes sounds stunning. The services is welcoming. 5 years ago i wrote Really liked the food here. A little gem in this small town. They had a baby chair and a nice view from the restaurant.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at GrecAle, a splendid structure overlooking the beautiful hills of the Langhe; the owners, Alessandro and Elisa, two courteous people, available for any need, in short, two attentive and caring hosts. During our stay we felt pampered from the first moments of the day with attentive, punctual but discreet service. In a completely glassed-in room with a breathtaking view, we were served a plentiful and varied breakfast, from savory to sweet and leavened products entirely prepared by the chef's hands. The aperitifs, at sunset suggestive and curated with mixed platters rigorously Km0 and finally, his majesty the dinner with refined courses designed with skill and produced with high quality ingredients; a local cuisine, varied and excellent with the continuous search to make the most demanding palates discover very fine flavours. The gem of GrecAle is its suggestive cellar with the wine list, where local wines are preferred but at the same time wines from all over the national territory. The suite chosen for us is recently built, finely furnished by the landlady, equipped with all comforts, large, spacious and with a splendid view of the solarium area where a splendid heated swimming pool allows you to enjoy the view of the hills immersed in the water. Finally, the GraCale is also equipped with a spa area with a sauna overlooking the hills and a hydromassage tub, immersed in the green plants chosen with care and skill to make the area welcoming and very private and at the same time a direct view where the gaze and thoughts are lost in the Langhe hills, traced by its splendid La Morra vineyards. In short, a breathtaking show. We will certainly return because at GrecAle we greet each other with a hello and see you soon.

Refined venue with panoramic view, innovative cuisine

Wow. By a bit of a coincidence, we spontaneously found this gem. In the middle of the Barolo district is a modest resort. In a restored barn, there are several apartments fully equipped with coffee machine, dishwasher, bathroom, dining area and the most beautiful view over the vineyards, where the noble grapes grow tall. The place is run by the talented chef Alessandro Neri and the sommelier Elisa Migliassi. We experienced the exquisite luxury of enjoying a meal of dimensions at the restaurant. The food is literally fresh. We got the "house" wine - which is made from the grapes from the fields that idyllically surround the place. The raw materials come from local products and are of the highest quality. My two companions and I ordered the 6 course menu. A veritable firework of taste - refined, rigorous and with a little twist of humour. For example, tuna-based tacos served on the back of a dinosaur. 🤣. But the food naturally contained strong references to traditional flavors from almonds, peaches, beef, fish and all kinds of herbs and other greens. Every mouthful was heavenly. With a view to the beautiful Barolo town “La Morra”, we got an unfinished passionate acquaintance with a new sparkling Perpignan in the middle of paradise. The rooms are classic modern Italian, furnished with everything you need for a week's time among the vineyards. The view is unsurpassed. The beds are excellent and there is plenty of space in each apartment. In short, everything you need for a perfect acquaintance (or reunion) with one of the world's most important wine regions, and here beautifully arranged in an excellent mini resort and top-class restaurant. You will certainly - and just like me - look forward to seeing this scenic pearl again. —- ENGLISH ALTERNATIVE VERSION calm, romantic and beautiful - with these words you can describe this gem of a restaurant and B&B. If you, as a layman, were to rank the place according to Michelin guide's original star marking (* - worth a stop on the way, ** - worth a detour, *** - worth the whole trip) it would be a bit much to give Il Gracale at least two stars. But the ambition of the place extends beyond just a unique and incredibly well-prepared meal, to also form the framework for a small mini resort. Right now there is a sauna, jacuzzi and massage. in the future there will also be a pool. - Our stay, over four days, began every morning with sitting on the restaurant's beautiful furniture and looking out over Barolo's vineyards, taking in the scents and sounds of the landscape - and not least being spoiled by Il Grecale's simple and delicious breakfast. what a morning - Then a trip to nearby La Morra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From the town's Town Hall Square, you can see the breathtaking vineyards, the beautiful medieval fortresses and vineyards that characterize the landscape, as well as see (almost) the nearby town of Barolo, which has given its name to the world-class wine produced in the area.- Back at Il Grecale, we chose the place's six-course menu (4, 6 or 8). The food is of international class and is presented both with seriousness, elegance and with a simple humorous element that emphasizes the place's gastronomic approach. The raw materials are sourced locally and from the Mediterranean. On a possible visit, I can recommend sitting back, skipping the parades and enjoying the fantastic food, the place and the surroundings unfiltered. - Warning: the place is not for you who see luxury as show-off, "being in the spotlight" and bass rhythms. - RECOMMENDED for you who appreciate discretion, simple elegance and the encounter with nature, raw materials and gastronomy at a high level.

Great, beautifully decorated restaurant with an exclusive food and wine list. Professional and friendly service. Beautiful location in the middle of the vineyards with a view of La Morra. Modern rooms with small compromises in terms of equipment.
