Il Giova In Firenze

Another excellent dinner with friends at Giova! One of my favorite restaurants for years for its food and hospitality, with delicious Tuscan dishes just like my grandmother prepared them. Thank you, Stefano & Emiliano

I recommend a visit if you find yourself in Florence to this small trattoria with home cooking that doesn't pay attention to the beauty of the dish but to the quality just like at home without many frills. Friendly and smiling staff, quick to serve you. Very generous dishes and moderate prices. The menu is always of the day.

The best restaurant in Italy, we have been in many in Rome and also in Florence, we fall in love with the owners and the tastes. Awesome!!!

Stumbled into Il Giova on a busy Friday night, hoping to try some local dishes and have a decent and reasonably priced meal. Mom and Pop restaurant with a no frills atmosphere, and the food and service completely exceeded our expectations. Easily best meal we had during our 5 days in Italy! Not for everyone but the cervello fritti con funghi (fried brains and mushrooms) were perfectly fried and seasoned, creamy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The tagliatelle al cinghiale (wild boar) had perfectly al dente pasta and perfectly cooked meat sauce. The baccalà alla vicentina (fish dish) was perfectly flaky and delicious, but not for those who don’t like salty food. The house wine was also quite nice, and they have a selection of reasonably bottles as well.

La comida era deliciosa - nos encantó nuestro pici con ragu di cinghiale (la mano gruesa - pasta enrollada de la Toscana con un jabalí ragu) y osso bucco. Pensamos que el precio incluyendo 2€ por cabeza de coperto, MÁS 2€ por agua era un poco empinado, pero tal vez esto es razonable para Firenze.

LOCALE decisamente piccolo (tavoli a distanza di una spanna) ma molto accogliente. Arredo spartano. CIBO ottimo il fritto di verdure, squisito il filetto ai porcini. Carta vini sguarnita di bottiglie di qualità SERVIZIO rapido COSTO 60 eu cena
