We went to Albergo IL GIGLIO for dinner in the evening. There are two restaurant areas in IL GIGLIO, the back part seems a little more refined. White tablecloths and silver cutlery are used here. The house serves typical Italian dishes such as Risotto al Brunello or Tagliolini al Tartufo Scorzone Fresco. There is still some room for improvement in terms of taste, but the service is a bit slow; Sometimes orders have to be reminded a second time. However, overall recommended!

Best meal I’ve ever had anywhere. Thanks for a wonderful evening. Food was as good as the breathtaking Tuscan scenery on the way to Montalcino.

Lovely lovely historic hotel in the heart of Montalcino. Rebekah is the best host as well as the owners who are always keeping a watchful eye to see to your needs. #9 Room was small but had a great view. A/C worked great. No lift so stairs are plentiful. Breakfast is OK. Restaurant is superb. They also park your car for only 10 euros per night.

¡Oh Dios! Si realmente te importa la comida - ven aquí. El Chef ddid un gran trabajo con mis platos - Faisán paté y acompañamientos en particular. La mejor música de fondo de jazz - un nuevo artista para mí Paolo Fresu, trompetista. Esposa es chef, marido es jefe de casa, todos los demás dulce y atento. Hermoso restaurante, gente encantadora, comida deliciosa. Ahora puedo subir a mi habitación a dormir.

Sehr netter Empfang im Hotel und wir durften unser Motorrad in die private Garage stellen. Wir haben auch im Haus gegessen und es war sehr lecker.Es ist ein Familienbetrieb mit sehr netten leuten.

Really friendly family run business. They reserved a room for us with a balcony with a breathtaking view of the Toscane valley. Breakfast was great, we stayed 2 days instead of 1

05/01/2025: Simple place with a quiet atmosphere, a brick vaulted environment with glimpses of Tuscan tradition combined with contemporary works of art. It offers drinks, croissants, cutting boards and a wide variety of books, board games and pastimes. Hot chocolate from a machine with cream spray €3.50 Modest prices for being in the main street of the historic center of the village. Reachable from the main car park via the public lift located behind the keep and town hall, passing through a suggestive walkway and a very well-kept modern square.
06/10/2024: El mejor bar por lejos y el personal es tremendo Los lugareños son muy amables y le dan la bienvenida. Todo sucede en el bar desde la mañana hasta la noche, un verdadero centro local y no todo sobre el alcohol! Los niños locales vienen y compran sus dulces y helados, etc. Un verdadero placer. Fabuloso café y pasteles por la mañana y bocadillos de pizza, etc. durante el día Gran parada para ciclistas! Nos quedamos y nos sentimos parte.
