The food was excellent! We ordered beef steak with potatoes and cacio e pepe. It was very tasty, the meat was cooked to perfection, really good! And the dishes came out in less than 10 minutes, even though the place was full. The owner is very attentive; he cuts anchovies in front of the restaurant, adding a charming touch.

A historic trattoria, both inside and out, yet still a touristy spot. The owner and waiters are all very friendly, and the service is fairly quick and attentive. The food is average, though the pasta and traditional Roman dishes are good. Worth a try as an alternative to the usual trattorias in the ghetto.

If I could, I'd say more: delicious dishes, artichoke specialties. After all, we're in the Ghetto, and as we all know, artichoke alla giudia is their thing. But there are so many other delicious things to try... the ricotta and artichoke dessert... exquisite! Highly recommended, and... make a reservation... if you want to secure a table!

The food was good, the service excellent, the staff was lovely and fast and courteous. The food was good, reflecting Roman-Jewish tradition. Overall, we'll be back. I'm not giving it a 5 just because the portions are a little "precise," but I also understand that people often leave their food alone because they overdo it and then don't finish it, and throwing it away is truly unacceptable.
Let's just say I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could. It's well deserved, and I highly recommend it.

Finally managed to dine here and boy oh boy, this place does not disappoint.
The Jewish artichoke was excellent.
We had the oxtail and carbonara, both were superb.
The tiramisu was really nice too.
The wait staff were friendly, polite, and checked on us often to make sure all was good.
Highly recommended!

EVERYTHING WE LIKED
ARTICHOKES ALLA GIUDIA WERE EXCELLENT
BUCATINI ALLA AMATRICIANA WERE EXCELLENT
THE ONE ALLA GRICIA WERE PERHAPS A LITTLE TOO DRY
THE SALTIMBOCCA WERE VERY FLAVORFUL AND THE ARTICHOKE ALLA ROMANA WERE EXCELLENT
IMECCABLE SERVICE, VERY WELCOMING LOCATION
THE BILL WAS VERY FAIR GIVEN THE QUALITY OF THE RAW MATERIALS.

In Portico d'Ottavia, one of the many Roman-Jewish-tourist restaurants. The artichokes are good, but the service is a complete disaster (orders not taken, water not brought, or doubled—in short, it needs revising).
The "garden," the outdoor area at the back of the restaurant, is charming, with its statues and 1950s-era remodeling.

The best meal in Rome, neither pizza nor pasta, sea bass with artichoke in wonderful olive oil!! It was a delight!
