We had a fantastic experience here. The catch of the day was delicious and the mussels were perfect. Everything exceeded our expectations. The food by itself would be worth the 5 stars but when you add in the friendly, generous and welcoming waiter and chef it goes to 6 stars. Could not recommend this place more, my favorite part of Ispica!

A cozy atmosphere with about thirty seats, and which claims to serve fresh fish. I can assure you that the fish was frozen. The Spanish mussels and the fried fish tasted like rubber. Pasta with swordfish had very little seasoning. A horrible fish-based lunch for someone like me who knows it and knows how to cook it. €45 per person. The brochure says that if the weather prevented fresh fish, the restaurant would use frozen fish. And so it was. In my town, when fresh fish is not available, the chef makes meat-based dishes. As happens in Portopalo at the Scala restaurant.

The name of this trattoria is truly spot-on, because that's what it is, but believe me, it puts so many restaurants at odds! After spending 10 days in the area and frequenting various seafood restaurants, this one feels like dining with family, with the cuisine featuring dishes inspired by old recipes, where the pleasure of eating freshly caught fish shines through, and you'll want to return. Prices are reasonable, the place is excellently clean, the service is pleasant, and the wines are varied and pair well. Well done!

During our stay in the Ragusa area, we discovered this small restaurant, "Il Giardino dei Sapori," and were so impressed that we returned a second time a month later.
The restaurant has a simple, homey feel, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at ease. The cuisine is authentic and genuine, with particular attention to the freshness of the fish served. Each dish reflects the care and passion the chef puts into his work, providing a truly special culinary experience.
Another great strength is the staff, always very friendly and attentive. We also really appreciated the chef's gesture of coming out of the kitchen to meet the customers at their tables and chat. This touch of attentiveness and humanity is something you don't often see these days and makes the experience even more special.
The dishes, besides being visually inviting, are striking for their authentic and well-balanced flavor. Among the various dishes, we highly recommend trying the grilled tuna: it has an unmistakable flavor, so good it's hard to forget!
The wine selection is also noteworthy, with labels that pair perfectly with the dishes, further enhancing their flavor.
Finally, as for the prices, we found them absolutely appropriate for the quality of the products and the overall experience.
If you're near Ispica, you can't miss this gem. "Il Giardino dei Sapori" is a place where cuisine and hospitality come together to create unforgettable moments. Highly recommended! 🌟
