Excellent restaurant, affordable prices and very pleasant and friendly staff. If I come to Montecatini again, I will go there immediately for lunch or dinner.

Il nostro ristorante preferito in assoluto. Il migliore di Montecatini assolutamente. Consiglio il menù pesce e la tagliata alla Robespierre. Sono due anni che siamo clienti fissi e non abbiamo lasciato mai una recensione. Era doveroso.

Very unpleasant experience with payment. They don't have card payment terminals, so have cash ready if you come. I guess the owner interrupted the conversation between the staff and me and was very rude, although I just stated that next time I will have to bring cash. Because of this unpleasant experience, I will not come next time.

18/05/2025: It's my historic restaurant. I've been going there practically for over 30 years. When it was on Via Empolese it was called Trattoria da Osvaldo, and I remember that it was an obligatory destination for truck drivers. With this I'll let you imagine the type of cuisine and the quality/quantity of the portions, basically what perfectly embodies the phrase "typical Tuscan cuisine". The ragù has now become a "must" also for my children who I bring there periodically. Fundamentally simple dishes but like grandmothers made them on Sunday lunch. They also make delicious pizzas for takeaway too. There is no world without Il Portico!
