Il Galeone always confirms itself as the number one restaurant in the city. You realize that it is impossible to make comparisons here as you are on another level, let's say a parallel universe of catering. Lately they proposed an evening in which I had the opportunity to taste different types of oysters,.... it was really interesting to discover the origin and characteristics of each one. All the dishes served are absolutely impeccable but a particular note goes to the desserts at the end of the meal, the one with red fruits and crumble is truly something divine!!!

Il ristorante si trova alla base di un albergo, con possibilità, in estate, di cenare all'aperto. L'arredo interno è un pò agé, ma lo spazio esterno è molto accogliente.
L'entrata di benvenuto, offerta dallo chef, è già un ottimo inizio con mini-burger di pesce, baccalà mantecato, mini-taco ed altre mini sfiziosità
Per la nostra "prima volta" abbiamo preso la degustazione Profumi dell'Adriatico, un'esperienza gastronomica davvero piacevole e varia. Molto particolare l'accostamento dei cappelletti al primo sale con gli scampi. Delizioso il dentice all'ananas ed il dessert alle fragole, rabarbaro e Yogurt
Siamo tornati a distanza di un paio di settimane scegliendo alla carta: cappelletti al primo sale (Cosi buoni da prenderli di nuovo), tagliolini al ragù bianco (deliziosi nella loro semplicità) ed un carpacio di spigola con radicchio su latte di mandorle e pane croccante (delicato ed originale). Abbiamo proseguito con una degustazione di pesci alla griglia ed una frittura, molto buone, e terminato con un dessert con fichi caramellati, preceduto da un pre-dessert molto fresco, servito a tutti e tre. Con menù alla carta ed una bottiglia di vino, spesa di circa 50€ a testa. La "seconda volta" ha confermato la nostra soddisfazione

The spaghetti with sea urchins, fossa cheese and potatoes, very good. The dessert made with mango, passion fruit and lime is quite good, but has a somewhat monotonous flavour. My dinner was based on these two elements and in the evening it is better not to eat too much. But I had the nice surprise of receiving an appetizer offered by the house, consisting of 4 fish-based mini-tastes (with a rather atypical flavor - which means they can easily be liked or not liked) and a pre-dessert also offered by the house . I also forgot some welcome sparkling wine, always welcome.
The environment is nice, refined, the table is large and very comfortable with soft armchairs that allow you to sit for hours without problems and without "cutting your legs". Many kind, friendly and efficient waitresses at your service which was quite fast except for the "showdown". Which means that I waited perhaps a little too long for the bill (but in the meantime the place had filled up).
Bathroom rather uncomfortable as it is located in the hotel that houses the restaurant and you have to climb a steep and narrow staircase downhill (which makes it completely unsuitable for disabled people). Once you get there though it's nice and clean.
Overall good, I would go back (and will return) even just to eat spaghetti again.
The prices are quite high, so it is a place suitable perhaps for a special occasion or if you simply want to pamper yourself and be in a beautiful environment.

Nice place, we ate well, the staff prepared. Too bad, however, some "oversights" such as having asked for water and it not arriving (we asked for it after a while), too bad the oysters, part of the chosen menu, which they didn't serve us; It's a pity that we gave the customer at the table behind us the opportunity to smoke (even if outdoors) without asking if it might disturb the neighboring tables. Oversights that, especially from a restaurant that wants to be high-end, must not happen. Apart from this, we absolutely recommend it for its flavors and also for the wine, with an excellent menu and choice.

Rarely does one encounter the perfect combination of cuisine, service and location and the Galeone restaurant represents it fully
I was particularly struck by two things:
1. Attention to intolerances: As soon as we sat at the table we were asked if there were any and since I am lactose intolerant, attention was paid to this, both in the choice of dishes and in some variations
2. The care of the dish: Each dish was enhanced by details, both in shape and taste
I was particularly impressed with the cooking of the scallops and the amberjack Tataki
In conclusion
One of the best restaurants in the area
