A very unique and evocative underground restaurant in Rome. An intimate and romantic atmosphere, perfect for couples. Excellent meat and warm, attentive service. A unique place, highly recommended for an evening for two.

A charming and elegant restaurant, with a brick vault, located just steps from the Spanish Steps. We went for dinner with a couple of friends and I must say we ate divinely. Compliments to the owner and her entire staff, who were able to recommend excellent fresh fish dishes, paired with good wine. To conclude, the owner offered homemade cookies and chocolates. I highly recommend it, and we will be back for more delicacies. Compliments to everyone.

One of the best meals we have had in Rome - authentic cuisine updated with a modern touch, great hospitality and wonderful atmosphere. We ate the beef carpaccio which was amazing, accompanied with an amazing fresh fish tartar. Two pasta dishes and a perfect Capresa salad were a wonderful finish. We were able to get a table as a walking, arriving just as the place opened, but reservations are recommended.

The food was good. The drinks were good. The restaurant is cute and cozy yet a little compact. The prices are typical of the area. Some of the staff were friendly, others were not so much.

The food and service both were very very good. Especially the wine recommended was perfect.

This must be the third time we've been here in 10 years, and it's still simply sensational, one of the best in Rome. Everything is perfect: the octopus, the shrimp... everything!

The perfect Roman birthday dinner – intimate and delicious! We chose Il Gabriello to celebrate my wife's birthday in May, together with a couple of friends, and it was the absolute highlight of our trip. The atmosphere is incredibly beautiful and intimate, making it perfect for a special occasion. The seafood is outstanding. We started with the Dentex Tartare (Tartare di Dentice) which was delicate and fresh, followed by excellent oysters and a massive Seafood Platter. The pasta was divine: the Spaghetti Vongole & Bottarga and the Spaghetti Gambero were cooked to perfection. What made the evening truly memorable was the hospitality—the chef even came to our table to greet us, which was a lovely touch. If you want authentic top-quality seafood in a romantic setting, this is the place. Highly recommended!
