Absolutely first class. We went to Roteo the next night and were disappointed because our standards and expectations had risen so much after dinner at Ristorante Il Filo d'Olio. The care and attention to food preparation, timing of service and quality of the Brunello di Montalcino (and how our waiter decanted the.bottle focused on making the temperature perfect) was just incredible and embarrassing for the neaby competition such as Roteo.

Beautiful discovery on the Lake, in Carate Urio. A delightful little place, with customer service, kindness and availability not easy to find. Classic dishes revisited with finesse of new tastes, without upheavals. Highly recommended!!

Ristorante molto carino situato al primo piano con una vista lago ( a 20 MT.) veramente romantica. Personale preparato e cortese. Cucina molto accurata con ottime materie prime. Ottima selezione di vini. Il Lugana che abbiamo bevuto noi,meritava tantissimo!!

We were at Filo d’Olio with my family and the experience was truly enjoyable in every way. The food is excellent, with attention to detail and authentic flavors that enhance the local products. The location is enchanting, with a view of the lake that makes lunch even more special. The staff was very kind, friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

One of the Best Dining Experiences in Italy!
Il Filo d’Olio was an absolute highlight of my trip. The food was outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried was memorable. The service was equally impressive: warm, professional, and attentive without being intrusive. The setting is charming, and if you’re lucky enough to get a table with a view, it makes the experience even more special.
Highly recommend this place — it truly stands out among the many restaurants I’ve visited in Italy!

Mi piace recensire nuovamente questo ristorante che per noi è il posto del cuore dopo anni che lo frequentiamo...veramente tanti ..ma ogni stagione è un crescendo di novità culinarie devo dire ottime..complimenti al nuovo chef che ha dato un tocco speciale al menù...una cosa comunque resta sempre invariata oltre alla vista bellissima sul nostro lago .. la cortesia professionalità di tutti...grazie Samuele e grazia Antonia (anche se nn ci siamo visti:)) alla prossima
