The food was absolutely delicious and at a reasonable price. The service was nice, helpful and smiling. We got a free dessert with our coffee. We will definitely come back next time we visit Rome.

The owner welcomed us to his"house", and proceeded to provide excellent service. The food and atmosphere were very good. I just don't give out many "outstanding" 5 star reviews.

We are from New Zealand. We found this little gem directly below our hotel. My wife being gluten intolerant they were able to do gluten pasta which was delicious. The service was great and prices were very good. Highly recommend.

We were originally headed to a different restaurant recommended by our hotel concierge, but as we walked past Il Fiammifero Strano, we struck up a conversation with the owner. Before we knew it, we were seated at a table — and we’re so glad we stayed.
As many have mentioned, the owner is a true character, full of entertaining stories about the food, the wine, and his own adventures. His personality added a unique charm to the evening. The appetizers and entrees were all delicious, and although the dessert menu looked fantastic, we were too full to try it.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the food was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. Definitely a hidden gem worth checking out if you're in the area!

Fantastic food at a reasonable price. We had lunch then came back for dinner the next day. Owner has been in the restaurant / food business his entire life. Pizzas are the best we have had in Italy. We had ravioli, spaghetti and a vegetable couscous plate that was phenomenal. The owner makes his own pasta. Just can’t say enough about this jewel. If back in Rome, I will be back.
