The shrimp pizza was delicious, and the poke was pretty good. I came back three days in a row to have this pizza. I don't like tomato sauces, so I spent a long time looking for a pizza without tomato paste, and I found it! The arugula, shrimp, and mozzarella were fantastic! The owner was very nice, always trying to chat and joke around!

A typical Roman restaurant, plus the staff is incredibly attentive. The homemade lasagna was delicious and excellent value for money; I highly recommend it.

We were originally headed to a different restaurant recommended by our hotel concierge, but as we walked past Il Fiammifero Strano, we struck up a conversation with the owner. Before we knew it, we were seated at a table — and we’re so glad we stayed.
As many have mentioned, the owner is a true character, full of entertaining stories about the food, the wine, and his own adventures. His personality added a unique charm to the evening. The appetizers and entrees were all delicious, and although the dessert menu looked fantastic, we were too full to try it.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the food was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. Definitely a hidden gem worth checking out if you're in the area!

Fantastic food at a reasonable price. We had lunch then came back for dinner the next day. Owner has been in the restaurant / food business his entire life. Pizzas are the best we have had in Italy. We had ravioli, spaghetti and a vegetable couscous plate that was phenomenal. The owner makes his own pasta. Just can’t say enough about this jewel. If back in Rome, I will be back.
