Il Cupolone In Pavia

Had lunch in this very characteristic place in the center of Pavia. Friendly and fast staff. Fixed price menu 10€ first course, second course, side dish, water and glass of wine. Recommended.

Local muy coqueto con comida bastante aceptable. El servicio es correcto sin alcanzar la simpatía, menos aún si no hablas italiano. Para ser una ciudad universitaria tendrían que revisar esto. El precio, en línea con lo habitual en Italia, abusivo.

Plenty of food but poor service

We ate here for a pre-dinner meal (I’m not confident what it is called), around 7pm. We were served a drink (I got wine, my husband got beer), and a huge board of cheese, breads, meats, and roasted veggies. This was followed by a risotto dish, and finally a veggie tempura dish. I suspect this menu changes periodically but everything was excellent and the amount of food felt like a full dinner for us. All of this for $15 per person! The service was excellent as well. I wish we could’ve stayed for dinner, too. Plus, the location is amazing because you’re sitting behind a historic church. It’s lovely.

I was here last night for an aperitif, passing through with some friends with whom we were looking for a place for an aperitif. We sat outside, given the beautiful day, so I give 3 stars to the environment, for the simple fact that I practically didn't see the inside. We saw this super delicious platter arrive, full of delicacies: scones, savory pies cut into small pieces, skewers, fried pie, cured meats, cheeses with accompanying honey, omelettes, bruschetta, zola and walnuts etc... Plus they brought us a plate of polenta and meat and one of vegetables and battered and fried onion rings. In short, in the end, more than an aperitif, it was a real early dinner. It all cost €15 each, with the food described and one drink included. I am completely satisfied! Congratulations indeed and above all to the very kind boy who served us! Michele, Marianna and Sharon
