Lunch with a charcuterie board and risotto: very good food, excellent quality, and generous portions. Fast and courteous service! Very quaint decor with period tools and objects.

A filling and delicious meal for just 10 euros

We had their 10 euros set lunch menu which came with 2 courses, inclusive of water and a wine! Risotto was so homely and delicious! Second meal with the meat loaf was also just as yummy with their mustard sauce to compliment the meat! Atmosphere was cosy and had a traditional Italian feel 😌

Charming place with nice people. Food is a little on the pricey side for what it is. We spent 70 euros for a a plate of gnocchi with sauce, one with butter, one pasta with cinghiale sauce, a starter and 2 glasses of home wine. Wine was so so, but passable The starter had nice cuts but old russian salad and the gorgonzola came on hard bread. Cinghiale sauce was also so so. Staff was friendly and nice, place is charming.

Weekday lunch menu (first course, second course, side dish, water, and a glass of wine): €10. Delicious food! You can choose from three first courses, three second courses, and three side dishes. Good portions. A very nice two-story restaurant right in the city center, so you don't have to drive to get there, but take a short but pleasant walk downtown. Friendly and fast staff.

A lovely osteria, very well decorated, with good service. Part of the menu features traditional dishes, while part doesn't! I'd avoid that part. Dinner for around €30, two dishes of your choice and a glass of wine. Worth a try.

I'm sorry to give such a low rating because the food is very good, with generous portions and reasonable prices. Unfortunately, the service was terrible. The waiter wasn't capable of managing a table of 15-20 people and immediately showed signs of being unhelpful, starting to pressure us from the very first minutes (by making a gesture of checking his watch). We couldn't have house wine except in glasses, or water except in 500ml bottles. When we asked for a wine list to choose from, the response was "I don't have any, I'll tell you." One dish was wrong, and despite reporting it, the correct one never arrived. A bottle of wine was returned due to a strange taste (which wasn't present in the others), and again, the waiter made faces at us, refusing to accept our opinion. A small mention of merit goes to some colleagues who were helpful in asking us if everything was okay. A terrible experience.

Hostaria il Cupolone is located in the center of Pavia. Excellent food, all homemade, and a historic atmosphere. I think it's best to book. It was packed when I went. They have a ground-floor and first-floor dining room. The quality/price ratio is good. Fast table service. I highly recommend it.

Su consiglio di alcuni amici, clienti abituali de "Il Cupolone", nel cuore di Pavia, a fianco al Doumo, ieri, a pranzo, ci siamo recati alla suddetta Hostaria tipica. Trattandosi di un pranzo di lavoro (il tempo stringe), abbiamo deciso di ordinare il menu fisso (10 €). Ordinato un risotto Carnaroli con gorgonzola che definirei perfetto, cotto al dente al punto giusto, cosa che non succede spesso. Per secondo scaloppine di tacchino con patate al forno e qualche foglia di insalata. In tavola, pane e olio EVO. Il vino bianco o rosso (così, così), a scelta, te ne servono un bicchiere. Un bottiglietta da mezzo litro d'acqua è sempre inclusa. Che dire? Rapporto qualità/Prezzo buono, servizio veloce e cortese, cibi di buona qualità. Il caffè, chi lo vuole, se lo paga a parte. Nel complesso, lo consioglio senza esitazione.
