Great place, beautiful garden, amazing food and really nice service. We came here twice during our stay.

Wine shop and restaurant Il Cucco is located in the small town of Cisternino. It is a modern yet authentically decorated restaurant with an inner courtyard. The menu is diverse, the food is of high quality, and coincidentally, there was a Dutch waitress present who served us wonderfully. Definitely worth a visit!

A little gem in the heart of Cisternino. A superb discovery. From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere makes you want to explore further. They offer tastings of local products. The menu isn't too extensive, and there's something for everyone. And speaking of taste, it's simply excellent. The waiter is very attentive. The setting is lovely. The wines on offer are excellent. And to top it all off: the prices are simply incredible for such a find, and the waiter speaks French (not essential, but a nice touch nonetheless).

A charming and relaxing place, built with stone as its foundation. Elegantly and tastefully decorated. A special place for a glass of wine and a special platter. The staff is friendly and in keeping with the setting. The garden is a must-see.

Easter Monday lunch spent with friends at this restaurant and wine bar in the center of Cisternino. Located just outside the more touristy historic center, the restaurant is well-maintained, with a relaxing atmosphere and welcoming, helpful staff. Dishes are well-crafted and unique, made with quality ingredients. All accompanied by good wine, with knowledgeable staff helping you choose. The menu was à la carte. We ordered a few appetizers, three very good first courses (ravioli stuffed with lamb, Taleggio cheese fondue, and truffle shavings; spaghetti with anchovies and oranges; and strascinate with rabbit ragù, bacon, and cardoncelli mushrooms). We then moved on to the second courses: a beef stew to share and three tender, distinctively flavored, slow-cooked pork fillets. We finished with a dessert not included in the menu: a pear frangipane with chocolate ice cream. Around €75 per person. Medium-high priced, but worth it. If you happen to be in the area, give it a try.

We had a wonderful experience at this wine bar and restaurant. The service was truly impeccable—attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the entire evening. The atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for: relaxed, cozy, and charming, making it perfect for a couple’s night out. We felt completely at ease and were able to fully enjoy both the food and the moment together. It’s definitely a place we would recommend to anyone looking for a pleasant and intimate dining experience. We will gladly come back!
