I rarely give five stars but Il Ciocco deserves all five. We debated on a few restaurants after visiting Villa Gregoriana as there are a few in Tivoli with views of the gorge and falls. We were so pleased with not only the view at Il Ciocco on its stunning beautiful terrace but the food was melt in your mouth superb! We had mozzarella di buffalo e prosciutto, lemon sauce ravioli, gnocchi, the filet and lemon delicia from lemons from the Amalfi coast and every bite was heavenly. Best meal hands down our whole trip in Rome, Orvieto and Tivoli. The wait staff was kind and attentive and filled our drinks immediately without even us asking them to. It’s a must visit on your itinerary. Bravissimo Il Ciocco!

Good dishes and fair price for the place. If you book, try to ask to be placed outside because the view is truly spectacular, you can see the two temples on the opposite hill.

Considerations: on the good side we ate the risotto with scampi and tonnarelli, we didn't particularly like the seafood appetizer because for its price the portions are extremely small. The service was unfortunately poor, to bring us the complete starter we had to remind them twice that we were still missing some dishes, furthermore they didn't even bring us the bread and they had little consideration for my celiac girlfriend. The view is beautiful, but for the price and the service I wouldn't go back, or at least not on the weekend.

20/07/2024: Visit at the beginning of July, we wanted to have lunch without taking much time in order to continue our visit to Rome. The place seemed nice to us. Warm welcome, the attentive waiter Paolo, but sincerely and without any malice, certainly the worst Pizza I have eaten in Italy. A Capricciosa with totally soft dough, tasteless ingredients, no flavor, really not worthy of PIZZA 🍕 I give 3 stars but really just for the place and the friendliness of the waiter.

25/07/2024: Antipasti , soute’ di cozze abbondanti e primi ottimi, pesce fresco, ricciola alla piastra squisita,servizio ottimo… posto ventilato piacevolissimo! Ritorneremo!!
