The small room at the entrance is very nice, with few seats, perhaps not air conditioned and today it was very hot... they make us sit in the larger room at the back, very cool but rather anonymous. Quick and very polite service, while waiting for the first course they bring us water and wine (à la carte) and offer us an entree. For 2, we take 2 appetizers and 2 second courses. What can I say, it was all good but we expected something more, considering that they were more elaborate dishes than normal, it lacked a bit of "push" in the flavors (now that's what they say 🤪). No dessert for her, I had a green apple sorbet, good but also not exactly "full" in flavor. We still came away more than full... Prices in line with the times (not even €40 per person).
I repeat, we had heard good things about it but in our opinion it disappointed our expectations a bit, the potential is definitely there. Appreciable.

Informal atmosphere near the seafront promenade. Fairly fast service. We weren't crazy about the appetizers, especially the sandwich with creamed cod...rather bland. The gnocchetti and cacciucco were good. The fried fish was bad, rather rubbery.

Incuriosita dalle buone recensioni perché non provare? A due passi dalla Terrazza Mascagni la scoperta di un ristorante con personale giovane e cortese ed una cucina semplice e gustosa ma soprattutto leggera come a casa propria. Siamo stati veramente bene!! Servizio veloce e ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo!!!

I can't say I ate badly, but we waited a long time (even with the room half empty) for dishes that didn't leave their mark. One of the two waiters (perhaps he is also the owner, in any case he was also at the cash register) responded in a piqued way when we asked how long it was until the main course, as a lot of time had passed since the starter.
I had a different memory of it (from many years ago)
In response to the restaurateur, I add that the tone of what he writes speaks for itself... we certainly weren't in a hurry to eat, just hungry. There are many other restaurants in the area that are decidedly more customer-focused.

A Sunday in Livorno. Quick lunch, obviously based on fish.
Excellent appetizers, first and second courses. The spaghetti with clams and bottarga is divine.
Simple dishes, of excellent quality and very tasty.
Fast service and courteous staff.

Non la solita cucina ignorante livornese, ma piatti delicati e abbinamenti interessanti in un ambiente accogliente e familiare! Buono il maritozzo con baccalà mantecato e i piatti a base di polpo, peccato per le linguine vongole e bottarga, senza bottarga! Ci torneremo, ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo!
