Il Cassero In Monte san savino

We went to this restaurant by chance and what a surprise! We were found a place without having booked, the dishes were delicious and very well received and served. Since we were very happy with our experience, we returned 2 days later with the same success.

Everyone is very nice and kind. Quality products. I have been many times, both for meat dinners and for pizza (fine and crunchy). Always at the Top.

Very good pizza and excellent tiramisu. The best we have ever eaten. We eat really well I update the review having returned for dinner last Friday. Service that left a lot to be desired, starters served first the cheeses and then the cured meats separately after 20 minutes. Starter plates quickly taken away as they said the pizzas were ready to be served, but they arrived after 20 minutes. Pizzas with little filling and little flavour. Tiramisu which this time around was a huge disappointment. It can happen, but I lower the stars from 5 to 3.

Quando andiamo a pranzo/cena fuori che cosa ci aspettiamo? Io, sicuramente, qualità e passare un po' di tempo rilassandosi in tranquillità. Ecco, "Il Cassero" di da tutto questo! Si parte con la scelta del vino: due calici, un Crognolo ed un Bolgheri, potendo scegliere tra diversi tipologie di ottimi vini al bicchiere come raramente mi era capitato! Poi un buon antipasto, vario e gustoso, a mezzo con mia moglie, dei tortelli di baccalà abbondanti ed equilibrati per me, una zuppa di cipolle perfettamente gratinata per lei! Poi, un po' sazio ma non del tutto, sei incerto se prendere altro ed allora, quello che credo sia il gestore o uno dei gestori (il signore con la barba, premuroso ed accogliente ma mai eccessivo) ti viene in aiuto con una ridotta, ma neanche tanto, porzione di "finto tonno", profumato ed appetitoso! Non solo, ma poi ti scala tre euro dal suo costo! Non è per i tre euro, vanno e vengono, ma apprezzo l'attenzione per il cliente, sono quelle piccole cose che ti faranno tornare volentieri e che ti faranno parlare bene del locale.

A pleasant discovery on the outskirts of Monte San Savino, we laughed, joked and enjoyed good food, the price in our opinion is very honest. The strong point of this restaurant is the quality of the products offered but not only that, as in each recipe we noticed the right balance of flavours, nothing was left to chance... Also very large Gluten-Free offer, much appreciated. Thanks for the fantastic experience, see you soon!
