After a trip to the San Benedetto lake we opted to have dinner in Subiaco and after a quick look at the various restaurants in the surrounding area, Cantuccio was the closest one and I must say that we couldn't have had a better time. We found a place for two even by booking 10 minutes in advance and having pointed out that we also had the dog, they found a place for us on the external veranda without problems. Speaking of the courses, one better than the other, I skipped the starter so as not to overdo it, the choice went for two first courses, fettuccine with white lamb ragù with mushrooms, thyme, star anise and sensational parmesan flakes, ricotta and spinach ravioli with mushrooms , chopped hazelnuts and pecorino (dish of the day) excellent. A second course always of the day, beef cheek cooked at low temperature (10h) and potato chips, exceptional!!!! 1 sautéed chicory and for dessert a creamy mascarpone with diced peaches, lime and mint which concluded a wonderful dinner in style. 1/4 of house red 2 water 1 coffee bread and service all for €59. High quality raw materials and attentive and friendly staff make Cantuccio an excellent place to eat. well done 👍👍👍

Come, credo, tanti altri turisti, dopo la visita ai due vicini Monasteri, siamo andati alla ricerca di un posto dove pranzare. Trovato assolutamente per caso (le recensioni le ho lette dopo!) Qs locale ci ha piacevolmente sorpresi x la cortesia, l'attenta preparazione dei piatti e...la bontà! Ottimo il rapporto qualità/prezzo. Bravi!

Grazioso locale alle spalle del teatro, scelto in base alle recensioni si è rivelato un'ottima scoperta. Cucina leggera, ma saporita. Invitante l'antipasto Il Cantuccio con formaggi locali, una frittella, salumi e verdure. Buonissima la pasta alla Sublacense e fenomenale la guancia di manzo. Servizio cortese, attento ma non asfissiante. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo Assolutamente consigliato.

Nice restaurant in the village of Subiaco. Thanks to Tommaso and all the other guys who pampered us. I hadn't been here for nine years and I would have liked to come back sooner! For Easter Monday 2024 there was a nice menu of which I will post photographs. Delicious food, excellent service and a lovely place, especially in the basement..
