From the moment we wandered into this adorable town, dropped off by accident, it seemed it must have been fate. We sat down at a table, luggage and all and immediately were offered a space to stow our bags so we could relax and figure out where we were supposed to be. We ordered some food, bruscetta to start and it was one of the best we had in our whole vacation. I had a Ceasar salad, and my boyfriend had the tagliatelle with beef ragu and cheesecake for desert. Our food was all excellent. I asked it it was okay if I got a gelato from the shop across the street to bring to the table. Turns out, that shop is there's as well, so no problem. I had Gelato in probably 6 towns, and this was by far the creamiest and best. Back to the service, as soon as they say we were somewhat lost, with no car, on our way to a farmhouse nearby, they offered us assistance in getting us there and any other help we might need during our stay. They were so kind, we are forever grateful to Aleandro and Pasquale. Truly the epitome of good humans.

Top restaurant! Excellent welcome from both the dining room staff and the owners. Very nice setting in the historic center of Castellina. Quality food (Filetto one of the best I've ever eaten) Normal prices. Highly recommended!!!

Entering the town of Castellina in Chianti you will find a real corner of lightheartedness, the managers are really very nice, the cuisine leaves nothing to chance and they know how to advise you with really excellent wine and sparkling wine pairings....I highly recommend it!!!

We enjoyed sitting outside and taking in the life of the street. We started with an aperitif and then moved onto dinner. We shared the Gorgonzola gnocchi, followed by the rack of lamb and filetto al Pepe Verdi, with mixed baked vegetables as a side. We finished with tiramisu which was delicious. We also enjoyed a bottle of local red wine

On a short visit to the region with a couple of friends we were lucky enough to find this restaurant!!! What a pleasant atmosphere, the food was delicious and the service could not be better!!! It is like being with the family gathered in a large hall, the energy and joy of the people working is incredible, of all the restaurants I visited on my trip to Italy I say that this was the best of all!!! Thank you very much Francesco for such a warm welcome 💖💖💖

Éramos un grupo de 6 y no teníamos una reserva en un sábado por la noche. El restaurante estaba ocupado, pero el maître d no dudó en acomodarnos y rápidamente nos sentó. El ambiente era feliz y acogedor. La carta de vinos extensa y la comida deliciosa y auténtica de la región. El servicio era excepcional y los servidores se esforzaron por asegurarse de que todas las necesidades fueran satisfechas. Recomendaría Il Cantuccio si estás cerca de Castellina en Chianti. No te decepcionarás.

Una carta corta con platos de pasta muy ricos y varios vinos para maridar. Los precios son razonables considerando el bello lugar donde están. La atención es excelente.

14/05/2025: De todos los restaurantes que mi esposa y yo visitamos en la Toscana, La Corte Medicea era sin duda nuestro favorito. Luana , la anfitriona / gerente de este establecimiento, nos recibió en la puerta cuando entramos. Estábamos un poco frazzled de un largo viaje en coche, así que Luana nos ofreció localmente - hecho vino y queso para ayudarnos a relajarnos antes de que siquiera sabíamos que había un restaurante arriba. Estaba delicioso. Mientras mi esposa y yo nos calmábamos, caminamos por la tienda del primer piso, que había hecho vino, quesos y carnes curadas. Pronto nos dimos cuenta de que había un restaurante arriba, y decidimos almorzar. Mi esposa comió la mejor ensalada caprese que ha probado, y mi plato de pasta ragù era perfecto. Todo era tan fresco y sencillo y delicioso. No le estoy haciendo justicia, pero esta comida “cambió nuestras vidas”. 😊 El día que salimos de Montepulciano, comimos allí de nuevo, y de nuevo todo estaba fresco y delicioso y perfecto. Antes de irnos, compramos vino y queso para poder disfrutar de La Corte Medicea cuando volvamos a casa.

Fattoria di Montemorli, family winery

04/04/2025: We were so fortunate to discover Montemorli and meet Vittorio and his family. I messaged them on WhatsApp to ask about a tour and Vittorio offered to give us a personal tour the next day. He walked us around the vineyard and talked about the varietals and their harvesting timeline etc. We then went to the cellars and learned about the aging and wine making processes. It was very interesting to hear the history of the vineyard and the Conforti family. Vittorio was also very patient and answered all of our questions. We then walked over to their outdoor kitchen and had a tasting with snacks and we loved all of the wines but could only buy a few to carry with us on the rest of our trip. We were there for several hours and never felt rushed or like we overstayed our welcome. The best part about all of this is that it was just the two of us and Vittorio, so we felt like we were visiting with a friend. This is a "tour" but it feels more like you are visiting family and it is much different than visiting one of the large, commercial wineries. I'd take this option any day over one of those and can't wait to visit again the next time we are in Italy!
27/03/2025: One of the best wine tasting experiences we have had, Vittorio is a warm and very familiar person, we really liked the coexistence with the group, the explanation and the tour as well as the wines we tasted.
