Excellent porcini mushrooms steak, superb wine list with top-quality wines and sparkling wines. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and the staff is attentive and ready to make you feel at home. I recommend it and will definitely return. Well done!

The pasta was wonderful, the service excellent.

While preparing for our stay in Castellina, we had already noticed this restaurant, and we were not disappointed! Around 4 p.m. in the afternoon, we enjoyed a delicious meal (tagliata with fresh porcini mushrooms) and a well-chilled glass of wine. The owner of the house served us very courteously and personally. We would gladly return!

A perfect blend of great food, welcoming and friendly wait staff. My wife and I agreed we would not go to the same place twice but we ended up the second time on our last night as we wanted to make sure it was excellent. Madelina was such a great server and made sure we had everything we needed. The farmers salad was delicious, the pasta was fresh and a good size. I treated myself to the lamb and roasted potato’s my last night and was happy I did! Superb!! Hope to come back some day! Grazie!!

Our favorite restaurant in Castellina! After spending 4 weeks in Castellina area and dining in many of the restaurants in Chianti, I can honestly say that this one is a winner! We loved everything from the food to the atmosphere. Whatever you see on the menu will be homemade, fresh and delicious , oh their bread and pizza is amazing too! The owners are out there serving tables and taking orders making sure everyone is being helped. Restaurant is open all day doesn’t close after lunch and if you want gelato, it’s right across the street. The place is very authentic and Pasquale (one of the owners) makes it even more special by making you feel right at home. He is very knowledgeable about the wine of the region and whatever he recommended we enjoyed and even shipped some boxes home, which you can purchase in the enoteca right across the street that he is also a part of. But the best part was my birthday celebration which my husband asked him to organize for me as a surprise. Pasquale managed to get an exquisite bouquet of flowers that was brought in from sienna, not to mention Beautiful table, setting, 330champagne, Amazing food, including porcini mushrooms, ossobucco, lamb and all different kinds of pasta, plus ice cream cake! Substance and courtesy (but watch the portions). I've been here a couple of times recently, the last time in early August, and it was quite busy. It's really nice, especially outside, enjoying the Chianti air. I must say, the people who work there are smart and kind, they make you feel at home without too many frills, and that's something I really like. You can tell they're passionate. The food is good, the kind that respects the ingredients, and the wine selection is more than decent. We were celebrating an event, and they were very attentive, a truly worthy gesture. The only thing, if I really have to split hairs, is that on some of the first courses, given the price, a couple of extra forkfuls wouldn't hurt. The quality is there. A place you'll definitely want to return to, without a doubt.

Compleanno di mamma, 80 anni, volevo un posto carino, dove si mangiasse bene e dove ci si sentisse coccolati...e così è stato, gentilezza, attenzione per il cliente e buon cibo caratterizzano questo delizioso locale di castellina in chianti gestito da ragazzi giovani e sorridenti, e mamma ricorda ancora il dolcino finale che le è arrivato con una candelina di loro iniziativa!! Éramos un grupo de 6 y no teníamos una reserva en un sábado por la noche. El restaurante estaba ocupado, pero el maître d no dudó en acomodarnos y rápidamente nos sentó. El ambiente era feliz y acogedor. La carta de vinos extensa y la comida deliciosa y auténtica de la región. El servicio era excepcional y los servidores se esforzaron por asegurarse de que todas las necesidades fueran satisfechas. Recomendaría Il Cantuccio si estás cerca de Castellina en Chianti. No te decepcionarás.
