For work reasons over the last 30 years I have had lunch/dinner more in restaurants than at home. I have been a customer at Cantuccio for over 20 years, and it is difficult for me to be objective since it is my favorite restaurant. Over the years I have shared dinners with friends or clients who in turn have become regulars at Cantuccio. Always excellent, congratulations to Mauro and all the staff

Starters and Primi were exceptionnal. A bit disappointed on the fried fish choice. Very well rounded offering overall. Wine choice was amazing, for all budgets and with some true diamonds.

We had dinner yesterday in this charming restaurant on the occasion of our wedding anniversary. We would like to thank chef Mauro Elli and all his staff for the wonderful evening they allowed us to spend. Not only an excellent culinary experience but also a discreet and refined welcome. The friendly and impeccable service. What can I say? See you soon!

In the oldest area of ​​Albavilla, this small and welcoming place (a nook, in fact) hosts us for a family lunch immediately after the post-Christmas reopening. Two cozy and intimate rooms, one at street level, the other - with fireplace - in the basement, full but spacious and well-spaced tables, soft atmosphere, linear furnishings, elegant details in the equipment (beautiful placemats!). The menu offers 5/6 proposals for each course, both meat and fish, with the possibility of a vegan/vegetarian option. Fairly extensive wine list, with "wines of the heart" and several important bottles, plus the possibility of pairing a choice of wines by the glass with dessert. The chef personally goes to the tables to take orders, then replaced by very polite, attentive and prepared young staff. Before the start of the meal we were served excellent bread with salted creamed butter, a small trio of amouse-bouche and a "classic" of the chef, fried poached egg yolk on anchovy sauce, all delicious. We found a refined but "sincere" cuisine, made of high quality and well treated raw materials, distinct flavours, non-trivial combinations which did not distort the dishes, elegance in presentation and correct portions. For me, a special mention for the amberjack with nori seaweed and purple carrot puree, but I also really liked the three-cooked pigeon. Professional and courteous service with fair and relaxed times, which allow you to fully enjoy the experience. Obviously "important" but correct prices, also with regards to the mark-up on wines. We would really like to return and will certainly happily recommend this venue.

What shall I cook for you today? The incipit with which Chef Elli introduces himself to customers immediately explains how at Cantuccio di Albavilla, the chef's art will be in the dishes, not speeches. The restaurant is located in an ancient residence, in the historic center of Albavilla (be careful with your navigator because you risk getting into a labyrinth, better ask the staff for directions first). The place looks very good, with modern furnishings well balanced by stone and wood floors and fixtures, with two fireplaces that give that extra touch of warmth. On the menu you will find dishes of absolute quality, both sea and land, which highlight excellent quality raw materials, expertly enhanced by the skills of the chef. The dishes are a harmony of taste and color, which satisfy the eye as well as the palate. The idea of ​​pairing desserts with dedicated glasses of wine is beautiful. Speaking of wines, the list above is of excellent quality with national and foreign labels and fair mark-ups. Young but very courteous and very professional service, you can see that the guys believe in what they do. For these reasons my experience at Cantuccio can be defined as extremely positive and should be repeated as soon as possible.

Ancora oggi scrivendo mi chiedo per quale stranissimo motivo non abbia mai frequentato questo ristorante. Mistero. Bella location curata calda e piacevolmente frendly. Piatti molto interessanti dall'antipasto al dolce con sapori vivaci e tecniche di cucina innovative ma non estreme, il giusto mix per una piacevolissima serata. Personale gentile e preparato, carta dei vini non eccelsa ma ben fornita. Ci tornerò sicuramente e mi complimento veramente con lo chef e con tutto lo staff. Bravi !!

Il Cantuccio da anni un approdo sicuro, un ambiente caldo e familiare governato dall’amico e Chef stellato Mauro Elli Un locale dove accanto ai piatti evergreen si propongono novità sempre allentanti e intriganti Servizio molto curato che la presenza dello Chef ravviva con il suo intrattenersi con i commensali tra i tavoli, tale da offrire quel valore aggiunto che si si aspetta in questi ristoranti I piccoli panini dai diversi sapori, fatti in casa, l’ovetto panato (specialità dello Chef servito come entree) sono un must che accompagna il menù variato periodicamente e secondo la stagionalità dei prodotti di prima scelta. La cantina, curata direttamente dallo Chef Elli, propone accanto ai classici, vini provenienti da cantine di nicchia molto interessanti Non può mancare una segnalazione per i dolci dalle preparazioni deliziose e originali Un locale che non finisco mai di consigliare da anni e che trova sempre consenso
