Absolutely incredible experience at Il Caminetto! We stumbled across this gem right in the heart of Florence—literally at the foot of the Duomo—and were half expecting the usual tourist trap. But wow, were we wrong. The spaghetti carbonara was nothing short of perfection—rich, creamy, perfectly seasoned, and with just the right touch of traditional authenticity. You could tell it was made with real care, not rushed or overly catered to tourists. The service was equally impressive. Warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food they were serving. Our waiter made us feel like welcomed guests, not just another table passing through. Despite its prime location, Il Caminetto maintains the soul of a true Italian trattoria. It’s the kind of place you hope to find in Italy—authentic, flavorful, and run with pride. We’ll definitely be back!

This place is magical. Excellent food. We had a polenta appetizer with various flavors, then a succulent heifer steak with appropriate side dishes. All washed down with DOC wine, and for dessert, a mouth-watering dark chocolate cake. What can I say? All served by SALVATORE. Unique and unparalleled in his welcome, service, and recommendation of dishes, like a divine diviner of our tastes. My compliments to him and the excellent catering. I highly recommend Il Caminetto. All dishes we ordered were fantastic, but particularly picci carbonara with truffle was so delicious! Great service too.

Trattoria casalinga coni sapori di casa. Ottimi primi, speciale la carme. Servizio veloce e molto cortese. Sono già stato due volte nel mese di aprile e sicuramente ritornerò.

Siamo stati in questo locale, abbiamo preso un tagliere in 2, e due piatti di pasta, il tagliere nulla di che, abbiamo avanzato purtroppo del mangiare ( 26 euro ) mentre la pasta di mia moglie Aveva il guanciale bruciato e di conseguenza era amaro... i prezzi sono importanti. location semplice a pochi metri dal duomo. Personale cortese e gentile.
