The cuisine is good also considering the quality/price ratio. On Saturdays there is dancing, a welcoming atmosphere. I advise.

31/07/2023: Large well-positioned restaurant that seems to lord it over other establishments. The capacious slightly-sloping terrace is elevated and overlooks the main road. Everyone seems to end up here despite a rather attractive formal room situated adjacently at a higher level. Plenty of tables available and we were directed to a position right at the front. Once settled, it didn't take long for a tray of dead fish to be presented for our inspection; probably a big thrill for enthusiastic piscavores. We're not, so declined and looked elsewhere on the menu. Other than fish there's a big pizza presence, so I thought that I would road test their calzone. Not impressed - rather a weedy specimen with a mean, thin crust which copiously leaked a thin watery liquid upon penetration. Not constructed by a cheery dough-spinning artisan, I imagine. Mrs EPR had unusually selected an entrecote steak which, to be fair, was an ample size and cooked to her exact specifications. We were both pleasantly surprised. Once the food arrived it didn't take long for a swarm of flies to home in, soon to be joined by a pair of persistent wasps. Our meal was interrupted so enthusiastically that we were glad to call a halt and retreat over the road for a peaceful gelato. The Star's young staff were brisk and efficient without being particularly friendly. An old guy, who I assume is the owner, hangs around watching proceedings without getting involved. And it's one of those places that charges for bottles of tap water in lieu of still - very petty. Not an establishment that I could really warm to.
