Il Borghetto del Castello In Lucca

Frequento questo ristorante ormai da anni e penso sia giusto dedicargli due parole. Vastissima scelta tra carne e pesce tutto di ottima qualità. Ieri abbiamo ordinato una tagliata di carne per due con le patate del contadino (no surgelate ma fatte da loro con rosmarino ed aglio). Buonissimo!, Personale gentilissimo, d’estate potete mangiare all’aperto e….. prezzi veramente onesti!!!!!

We went to this restaurant on the recommendation of some friends. The restaurant is located at the foot of the Nozzano castle, a cute and small village definitely worth visiting. The Borghetto is a little dated in its interior furnishings, with a large garden for the summer period. Large rooms with wide tables, not too close to each other. Super friendly staff and quick to serve. Varied menu made up of meat, fish and pizza. We opted for 2 fish first courses and a mixed grill for 2. The first courses were good, good flavor of the sea, the mixed grill for the price paid €27 x 2, it seemed to us not very abundant with mixed Catalan-like vegetables, which practically filled the serving plate. We didn't appreciate the breaded and grilled squid, they had a strange taste and the breading was soggy, honestly we've never eaten them grilled like this. The mussels, obviously in my opinion, told us little in the grill, 2 shrimps and 2 scampi that were too small, with 2 small tuna steaks attached. A sea bream also arrived on a separate tray, sizzling inside a hot plate, good. We also ordered a takeaway pizza and we were all thrilled with it once we got home. Very good even cold, we will definitely come back to eat it, because it gave us an excellent impression. Overall not bad, we will return to try other dishes.

Hidden gem near Lucca! When you enter and take a seat on the plastic chairs, you may still wonder what the evening will bring you. At the end of the evening you think about this very differently. The friendly service, the delicious food (best seafood during our Italy trip) and the delicious wines made for a fantastic evening! Thank you!

Leuk restaurant buiten het centrum van Lucca, goede menu kaart met voldoende keuze mogelijkheden. De pizza is heerlijk, personeel erg vriendelijk. Prijs kwaliteit verhouding is meer dan prima.
