We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance on a street corner after arriving late in Rome. And what a discovery it was when we walked in! A warm welcome, fish specialties with dishes each more delicious than the last (respecting and showcasing the quality of the ingredients), and a very pleasant atmosphere (dining with the local regulars). A special mention goes to the tiramisu for two—pure bliss!
In four days, we went three times. So if you're ever in the Vatican area, take a detour to discover this gem of a restaurant; you won't be disappointed. As soon as we're back in Rome, we'll be returning with great pleasure.

We tried the appetizers, first courses, second courses, and desserts, all perfect. The service and helpfulness of the owners are beyond compare. We return whenever we can when we're in Rome. Highly recommended.

I can't give it five stars for two important reasons: we ordered a simple cacio e pepe, which arrived covered in COLD fried zucchini, thinly sliced, which negatively affected the taste; in fact, they were set aside.
We then ordered a lobster catalana, which is priced at €90 per kilo on the menu, but unfortunately, it doesn't live up to its value, both due to the freshness of the product and the way it was served, with a mashed potato covering the lobster itself.

To be fair, I'd also like to highlight the courtesy of the staff and the atmosphere of an old-fashioned Roman tavern right in the city center, just steps from the Vatican.
