Il Bacaro In Roma

We had dinner here 2 days ago and every family member enjoyed the their dishes. The menu lists so many interesting items. For example, Baccalà Mantecato con Funghi Porcini Arrosto (Creamed cod with roasted porcini mushrooms) and Tuorlo d'Uovo Croccante, Fonduta di Parmigiano Reggiano e Tartufo (Crispy egg yolk, Parmesan fondue, and truffle). Most surprisingly dish was the OssoBuco. It was not cooked in red tomato sauce instead it was roasted with rosemary. Never tasted a ossobuco dish in this style. Chef is such a wonderful person to chat with as well. What a lovely dinner!

In a downtown alley, away from the chaos, a great place to eat, without feeling cheated by the power of being a tourist in your own city. Pumpkin gnocchi and rigatoni with oxtail sauce, simply spectacular! We will definitely be back

We had one of the best lunches of our Rome trip at Il Bacaro, a quiet gem tucked away just off Piazza Navona. Despite visiting during one of the busiest weeks in the city (a Jubilee Year, the Pope’s funeral, and Liberation Day), this place was a peaceful escape with incredible food and an unforgettable wine. We happened to visit just as they were prepping a pairing menu and had the chance to briefly chat with their sommelier and a winemaker from Tenuta Iacoangeli—whose red wine became the highlight of our meal. (We even took two bottles home!) The dishes were fresh, seasonal, and confidently Roman, and the service was gracious and unhurried. Il Bacaro feels like the kind of place you want to keep to yourself, but they absolutely deserve the spotlight. Can't wait to visit again!

Nel pieno centro storico di Roma, a due passi da Piazza Navona c'è questo locale molto molto carino. Io e il mio fidanzato abbiano cenato fuori, sotto un cielo di rampicanti e tante piccole lucine. Cucina romana di qualità, consiglio il carciofo alla romana, il guanciale di maile, e veramente top, è il tiramisù con i cantucci. Pesonale gentilissimo, disponibile e simpatico. Ci tornereo certamente!

¡Excelente! Desde el servicio hasta la comida increíblemente deliciosa, esto está fuera de los caminos trillados, pero vale la pena. Chef hace comida fresca con todos los clásicos y va a la caza de trufa él mismo para sus platos. La carta de vinos también es muy buena y estuvimos encantados de experimentar una comida durante toda la noche.
