A cozy restaurant covered by a vine, offering creative seasonal dishes by candlelight. The dishes? A tribute to Roman cuisine. An intimate corner in the heart of Rome. The traditional first courses are excellent. The menu features well-chosen dishes, not at all touristy. Prices are a tad higher. A small note regarding the reservation with The Fork, which was delayed due to the restricted traffic zone and parking, as we were tourists. We were reported, and the manager didn't withdraw the report. It's a shame, but it's okay.

Prices: The prices are fair and reasonable for the quality of the food. You really get a lot for your money, especially considering the freshness of the ingredients. Conclusion: Overall, my visit to Il Bacaro was a complete success. The combination of homemade pasta, fresh fish, and friendly service makes this restaurant a must-visit. I highly recommend booking in advance to secure a table at this popular restaurant.

Typical trattoria. Small but cozy place, decent food, modest portions for the price. Excellent service.

High prices, that's the first thing that comes to mind about this restaurant. After all, it was a pleasant evening, but with these prices, you'd QUIETLY go to a Michelin-starred restaurant, and it already makes more sense.

We spent a wonderful evening in this delightful restaurant in the heart of Rome

Happened to find this place more or less by accident. We had a very nice carpaccio of beef and a selection of cured meats. The bread was great, and appeared to be baked in a muffin tin based upon the shape. It was really good bread. We had our 2 year old with us, and we asked for an apple juice, which they didn't have(it's a bar so understandable!) However, the waiter(maybe the owner!?) literally walked to a store and brought our little girl a pear juice and she was so happy. It was beautiful and we were so thankful for the kind gesture. Great hospitality. We sat outside and overhead was a beautiful trellis of vines. A nice, breezy, shaded spot, in a quiet alley, was very very relaxing. Thank you so much for a nice lunch, we will return!
