INCREDIBLE cocktails, stunning interior, breathtaking view of the valley, however service is very slow.

We stopped by for an aperitivo, a truly excellent place! The drink was sublime; if you come to Pienza, stop by!

Food was excellent. Portions may have been a little small, but exceptional quality. You'll pay higher prices here, and a lot of that premium is likely for the view, but there's no more beautiful place in Tuscany for lunch and everything that came out of the kitchen was perfect. Had lunch with some wine and some cocktails. Everyone in party paid about 50 euros. But no regrets.

There were 7 of us and every dish was delicious and beautifully served. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, but we were still sorry that because of the wind we couldn't sit outside and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

A beautiful place to eat, especially at sunset. Truly romantic. I thought the restaurant was overpriced for what you get on your plate. I also didn't like the service. The only difference was the guy in checked pants and a blue briefcase, who was very nice and polite. The lady who was supposed to serve us, however, wasn't. Our cocktail had barely arrived when she came to ask what we wanted to eat and what wine we'd like. We declined three times because you don't finish a cocktail in five minutes. You have to savor it. After that, we had one more glass of wine, and they didn't ask how the food was or if we wanted another drink. After we indicated we wanted to pay, a person we hadn't seen before came to ask if everything was to our liking. How dare you do that.

I've read reviews where customers complain about rude staff, and even that the dishes are tasteless. This place has only one flaw: the prices and portions. Let me explain: if I order a platter for two for €40, you get two pieces of everything, or four at most, but three? So you have to divide the appetizers into fractions. The staff is professional; I wouldn't say they're friendly, but they're not rude either. They work hard and do it with passion, explaining the dishes and the origins of the beers and wines, like a Michelin-starred restaurant. However, it's not a Michelin-starred restaurant; it looks more like a pub. But the quality of the food and drinks is absolutely top-notch; we spent about €65 each for an appetizer, a main course, and a dessert, plus a can of beer, a bottle of water, and a glass of wine. Reading that the dishes are tasteless seems truly out of this world to me, or perhaps I ate somewhere else? The portions are those of a fancy restaurant, but the quality is top-notch. I feel sorry for anyone who felt treated poorly or snubbed. We had a great experience, not 5-star, but definitely close to it. Recommended. If you're worried about the prices, just give it a try first. Wouldn't that be a good idea? Change places; I don't think the place will mind.
