I Sette Consoli In Orvieto

We had a fabulous lunch in the garden. Chose a la carte as we couldn’t have eaten the full tasting menu. Compliments to the chef!

It had been a few years since I'd been to Orvieto, and I already knew about this excellent restaurant. I've found it to have improved significantly: the food is truly excellent (the owner has always had a great passion for the quality of products, sometimes even unknown to most, but exceptional in taste). The ambiance has also been improved with a few but effective tweaks (see, for example, a charming garden, accessible when the weather permits). And what can I say about the chef—the owner's wife—who churns out unique and hard-to-find dishes? The service has been improved with the arrival of young people who are enthusiastic about their work, with a friendly, yet expert and attentive approach. It's a refined restaurant that still feels familiar. The staff are incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and patient. If you have a question about a dish or wine, they answer with such passion that you'll want to try everything. The food is refined and made with quality ingredients; every dish is a surprise, crafted with care that you can see and taste. Whether you're celebrating something or simply treating yourself to a special day, I Sette Consoli is a guarantee.

Incredible food. It’s rare to get so many dishes that are all that perfect. I loved the prawn ceviche, gazpacho, pigeon dish, lamb dish and the peach + plum dessert. Highly recommend all of those.

Overall, a positive experience. The quality of the food is unquestionable: excellent ingredients and meticulous preparation. The service is attentive, professional, but never intrusive. If I really had to find a criticism, I found the atmosphere a bit too sparse: one of those places where you almost feel compelled to speak in a low voice. Beautiful, but perhaps too serious for those who enjoy a more lighthearted and convivial dinner.

The food here is amazing! Loved the prawn ceviche and the pigeon dishes in particular. Fabulous desserts. All wonderful. A few mosquitos as we sat outside. Not sure why they have staff who are only allowed to collect plates and can’t help with other requests!

In un giardino un po' nascosto, fresco e silenzioso al centro di Orvieto, questo ristorante offre una cucina di altissimo livello. Il menù degustazione è un percorso sensoriale con cui la chef Anna Rita riesce sempre a stupirmi, e questa sera il culmine lo ha raggiunto con le costolette di agnello con panatura profumata. Servizio impeccabile, attento e discreto . L'eccellenza non si può descrivere in poche parole, L'eccellenza va gustata.

We had a fabulous meal at Consoli! We did the tasting menu of 6 courses and opted for the wine pairings--total of 90E/pp. (60 food/30 wine). We felt a great value compared to most other tasting menus that we have experienced. Seated in their garden on a picture perfect weather evening that was romantic and inviting at the same time. Courses were spaced perfectly with the correct portions. They were generous with their wine pours, total of 4 wines with the last being a dessert wine. Loved the amuse, bread and main of lamb chops! Two types of pasta prior to the main, cheese course and refreshing dessert to top off the perfect evening. If you would like a fine dining experience in Orvieto, I don't think you can do better than I Sette Consoli.
