The food was amazing, and so was the service! I will definitely come back here again. It was the best Italian meal I have ever had. I ordered the lobster pasta, tiramisu, local red wine, and my waiter brought me out a variety of homemade bread and shot of pistachio liqueur. The staff make me feel at home and not like a tourist. Top notch experience!! Highly recommend ❤️

Every time I return to Messina, alone or with my family, a stop at Ruggeri has become an essential ritual. I trust Alvise implicitly: we've been friends forever, having known each other since the days when we rowed together at the Club Nautico Paradiso. And it was through him that I discovered the cuisine of Ambra Gigante, now the restaurant's chef, a discovery that has unfolded, dish after dish, over the years.

Finalmente dopo una settimana in giro per la Sicilia a mangiare roba da turisti e prezzi da stellati, quando avevamo perso le speranze e tornavamo a casa, prima di traghettare ci siamo imbattuti in questo ristorante eccezionale, personale gentile cucina autentica con la giusta rivisitazione che non guasta, ho mangiato una tartara di alalunga incredibile e una pasta con bergamotto e bottarga stupefacente. Carta dei vini ottima e soprattutto ho pagato davvero poco dopo le batoste dell ultima settimana. Qualità prezzo davvero incredibile. Al mio prossimo viaggio in Sicilia sarà tappa fissa

Adoriamo questo ristorante, con la sua atmosfera un po’ chic e un po’ old style. Ogni volta che passiamo da Messina, la tappa è obbligatoria.
La qualità del cibo è sempre altissima: pesce freschissimo e una selezione di vini davvero eccellente. Stavolta abbiamo scelto un Etna Bianco spettacolare.
I bucatini con le sarde meritano 5 stelle, così come la cacio e pepe (rubata dal piatto di mia nipote!). Ottima anche la tartare di branzino, scelta da mio marito.
Io ho preso, oltre alla pasta, gli involtini di pesce spada: deliziosi, anche se mi aspettavo una preparazione senza salsa di pomodoro. Ma è stato un mio errore: alla messinese si servono così. In ogni caso, la qualità del pesce e del ripieno era eccellente.
Servizio impeccabile, professionale ma con il giusto tocco di calore.
Insomma, una tappa consigliatissima!
