22/04/2025: Agriosteria del Frantoio, in Cerbaia (Scandicci), combines a working oil mill with a modern restaurant that enhances local flavors with passion and care. I was there for a 50th anniversary and I found the staff very kind and knowledgeable. As a vegan, I was served a dedicated, rich and creative menu, which also intrigued the other guests!
The chef explained each dish carefully and was available for last-minute adaptations. The menu included crostini with oil from the mill, cannellini beans and black cabbage, artichoke carpaccio, eggless tagliatelle with vegan ragù, asparagus risotto, polenta with seasonal vegetables and an excellent oil ice cream with crumble and red fruits.
All dishes were 100% vegan, tasty, well thought out and plentiful. Fresh, high quality ingredients, processed with attention and respect for seasonality. A highly recommended experience for those looking for authentic, inclusive and well-made Tuscan cuisine.
12/04/2025: I returned after a year but I had a very good time again. The raw artichoke dish with parmesan flakes was fantastic and the crusted pork wonderful. Excellent wine list. Pleasant environment and professional, smiling service. I confirm the excellent quality/price combination. Interesting menu, next time I'll book for the tagliatelle with colonnade lard. Good good sweets. I highly recommend
