Hotel Sommeiller In Bardonecchia

A few days have passed since we returned from our fabulous holiday in Bardonecchia. The Hotel Sommeiler is the oldest hotel present. A place that breathes with history and lives that have been intertwined since 1884. The font with which the name of the hotel is written and the year on the main facade clearly communicate the historicity of this place. First of all, I would like to leave a positive note dedicated to the hotel staff. From the Director always available and smiling; to Silvia, kind and always ready to give advice on the amazing excursions that can be done. And how can we forget Davide, the ever smiling room manager, ready to give a smile and entertain with grace. And finally the chef who, with his expert hands, was able to give us amazing lunches. Yes, the food is truly exceptional (the roast especially!!!). The only negative note that I feel like leaving is certainly the fact that the hotel has not been renovated in its rooms (which urgently need it). The company that manages it needs to take this structure to heart which, in my opinion, is the beating heart of Bardonecchia. The potential is very high, but it is necessary to improve the interiors and the services to be provided to customers such as parquet, minibar, safe... etc., etc. For the rest, thanks to you for this wonderful experience! Until we meet again!

We spent a weekend at the end of July 2024, the location is good, near the train station, the structure is quite dated, old rooms, with carpet and few electrical sockets, good food (buffet dinner), friendly staff, satisfactory cleanliness.

Very nice and helpful staff. They also gave us good tips for day trips. Were there to ride off-road (gravel).

Hotel located at the entrance to Barnodechia simple but pleasant room catering at 20 euros full menu excluding drinks staff not speaking French but we manage to make ourselves understood I recommend

My group of cyclists and I returned again this year at the end of the climb from Turin. Friendly and helpful staff, superlative food. We had a really good time, thank you

The main thing is that room was clean. Close to motorway. Breakfast good. Staff very helpful. It feels olde worlde but very good value.

Hotel in a great location, extremely friendly staff!

I only add that the rooms should have a little more maintenance. Afterwards everything is correct.

Structure from other times with vintage furnishings but very welcoming, quiet, warm

With the new management the service has improved. Clean rooms and welcoming staff. Strategic location and moderate prices. We will definitely be back.
