Delicious food, had a burrata with ham, fresh and quality. Light and tasty dumplings and tigelle, accompanied by cold cuts and cheeses. On the side I took small onions in balsamic vinegar, very tasty.
Professional staff and spent the right amount.
I also recommend it for the location.

The starter, the beef and the wine were delicious! I would definitely recommend it here. They also brought us cherry after finishing our meals, it was great as well.

Delicious fried dumplings and tigelle and first choice cold cuts.
The cheeses are also excellent.
We will definitely be back to taste the meat and first courses so we can give 5 stars to this place which seems to have nothing wrong with it.

In our many tours we arrive by chance in Castelvetro and discover a small village that is a marvel, then we go to eat at the hostaria del rio, another extraordinary discovery. The flavor of those ancient Emilian hostelries doc, where tradition reigns supreme. Excellent food, especially the cold cuts, washed down with a lovely Lambrusco, the owner is easy-going, the kitchen is attentive, and then seeing their children having lunch and studying in the dining room gives you the essence of a lovely place suitable for 'man. Once you have lunch, visit the village, it's worth it. If you can, buy their famous hatchet.

We had dinner last night, we are coming from Biella for a weekend in the Modena area, we looked for a place with traditional cuisine and I would say in a few words that Hosteria Del Rio is pure entertainment, 3 of us ate 1 platter of fried dumplings and tigelle with excellent quality cold cuts, 3 different first courses with ragù candies, old Modena tortelli and pumpkin tortelli with balsamic vinegar and super parmesan, second course 2 fillets with balsamic vinegar with a side of spring onions with balsamic vinegar, a spectacle for the palate, compliments to the cook, 1 coffee. Owners really friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money, 148 euros for 3. Cozy place. I highly recommend.

Caratteristica osteria a conduzione familiare, situata ai piedi del borgo storico con ampie possibilità di parcheggio auto nei dintorni.
Atmosfera rilassata e buon cibo
Molto cortese e disponibile il gestore;
La cucina propone ottimo cibo del territorio; io ho provato i Ravioli vecchia Modena e il Coniglio: eccellenti e porzioni abbondanti.
Buono anche il vino sfuso Lambrusco.
Prezzo medio/alto per una trattoria
Consigliatissimo.
