Excellent food. Best Alla Norma you would have. Ask for their pepper/chilli sauce

We stopped here for lunch- had pasta alla norma and roasted swordfish— both excellent! The owner is very welcoming and offered us self made chilli-pepper mix/ pickle concoction which was amazing!!! Great food, even better experience

So, the location of the restaurant (we had seen the comments that had directed us towards this restaurant, and almost backed out when we arrived in the area...) and the dining room, meh. But the kindness of the managers (even though I didn't speak Italian specifically) and the quality of the dishes (for a very reasonable price). Perhaps among the best taste experiences of our stay.

Chose this Hosteria because of its proximity to the Airport and Reviews - the quality of the Food, Service and Atmosphere exceeded my expectations . Tried the Tuna House Platter with Ruccola and Parmigiano - Server by the owner who has had the Restaurant for 46 years ! Best ever ! Highly recommend this Hosteria !

They recommended this place to me for dinner even after 10pm and to my surprise I found a place where you can eat very fresh fish ... very good ... cooked perfectly ... all accompanied by a friendly but punctual service with preparation of those who served us and good description of the dishes ... above all great knowledge of the products and the cooking, specifically the fish. We had dinner for two, a large appetizer of fried fish where the squid melted in the mouth and the shrimp peeled itself because it was so fresh. Then a Mupa, a rare and expensive fish that sometimes not even starred restaurants deal with, all'acquapazza which was a delight, portioned in half and with a restriction of sauce to dip a whole loaf of bread. Fresh homemade desserts excellent and house wine. I never do it, but I also write how much I paid because the price is not only worth the dinner, but it becomes a pure formality when the food is truly excellent, 100 euros the cost. Many thanks to the restaurant Il Faro for entertaining me with a dinner that deserved 10 out of 10.

Authentic, fresh fish, quality cuisine, friendly welcome despite the language barrier (all in Italian, no English). The boss recommends a mixed seafood dish (delicious!) then we shared a shrimp risotto for two. 1 bt red (nero d'avola 80%, syrah 20%, a delight!), 1 bt water, 2 coffees: 83eur. 3 minutes from the airport, late dinner (9:30 p.m.) upon arrival in Catania by an evening flight. Parking at the restaurant easy and safe. Absolutely good value for money.

Qualità del pesce incredibile, atmosfera accogliente e customer service di una volta. Non solo ho mangiato benissimo, ma l’esperienza tutta è stata davvero deliziosa.
