Hostaria dai Musi In Alba

During our stay in Alba, we had lunch at this wonderful restaurant. The restaurant looked inviting from the outside, and this was confirmed inside. The modern yet harmonious decor made it a pleasant place to linger. The service was very attentive. Orders were taken quickly and arrived promptly, so there were no unnecessary waiting times. Everyone was consistently friendly and courteous. We had appetizers, a first course, a second course, and dessert. Each course was accompanied by a glass of wine, and we finished with an espresso. The dishes were based on high-quality ingredients, expertly prepared and cooked. Everything was attractively presented and tasted excellent. Each dish was perfectly balanced, and the portions were just right. All in all, a truly wonderful visit to a fantastic restaurant. Great food in a pleasant setting with excellent service. A great place to eat in Alba.

I came to celebrate my birthday at Hostaria dai Musi and left with a genuine smile. They welcome you calmly and respectfully, making no distinctions, even when you arrive with a large wolf at your side. They immediately made us feel at ease, as if we were already part of the place. The food speaks for itself. Clear dishes, clean flavors. The fish is truly fresh, not that stuff they tell you about. The tuna impressed me the most: full, bold, done just right. If you're looking for a place to eat well and feel treated like a person and not a number, you're in luck here. I'll be back soon, without a second thought.

Overall, a good restaurant. I really appreciated the location, elegant in its simplicity. I was quite satisfied with the dishes, but I expected something more. One thing I didn't appreciate at all was that when my husband and I ordered two dishes with white truffle, the question we were asked, in exact words, was "Have they already told you the prices?" I find it completely inappropriate to ask this type of question, which can imply various intentions (unpleasant past situations with other guests, perhaps not having a Rolex on my wrist could have given reason to think I couldn't pay the bill?), but at this point, given that "the grated truffle" has prices that change constantly, wouldn't it be better to list the daily cost on the guests' table to avoid asking this direct question?

I had an exceptional time at Hostaria Dai Musi. From the moment you arrive, you feel the warmth and generosity typical of true Italian trattorias. The dishes were delicious, prepared with high-quality ingredients and genuine expertise. Each plate was a perfect balance of simplicity and authenticity. The service was impeccable: attentive, quick, and always with a smile. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, and you immediately feel at ease. I came back for the second time, good and helpful, delicious dishes, I will not fail to go there for the third time.

Great food and service. I really love that roast beef with truffle, just so good!

A modern and welcoming restaurant. We dined in the downstairs dining room, hence the 4-star rating. The orzotto, which resembled a risotto, and the egg with fondue were excellent. We were a little less thrilled with the tajarin with truffle and the tartare of Fassona beef. The fried mushrooms took me back in time! The gourmet coffee was perfect, with a second serving of hazelnut spread and gelato. The woman who served us was knowledgeable and very sweet. Good value for money. I don't drink, but the wine list looked interesting.

The food is alright but not outstanding or excellent. Maybe the white truffle menu is not their signature and a bit overpriced to charge 7 euros/gram for it.
