I recently had the pleasure of dining at a truly excellent osteria. The quality of the food was impeccable, the staff extremely courteous, and the location was ideal, just a two-minute walk from the Colosseum. On my next visit to Rome, I will definitely return to this restaurant, where you can enjoy authentic Roman cuisine.

A three-minute walk from the Colosseum, among many largely "touristy" establishments, Hostaria da Nerone stands out like an oasis of Roman authenticity. Traditional Roman dishes, extra-large portions, a quaint, hospitable, and welcoming atmosphere. Reservations recommended. We had lunch with three carbonaras, a cacio-pepe, three liters of water, and two coffees. Total: €70. Frequented by locals. Recommended.

Absolutely out of this world tripe, oxtails and even basic pasta with meat sauce. Just magically good. Also, their tiramisu is very special and magical.

The food was quite good 😊. I was impressed by the extraordinary sized ravioli, two palms size! Moreover, the waiters didn’t ask for tips from foreign tourists, which unfortunately became a bad phenomenon in Rome, especially those near Colosseum, Pantheon, etc.

Stratosferico!!!! Non fatevi ingannare dall'apparenza visiva. Locale tipico romano con piatti stratosferici!!! Abbiamo preso la Carbonara è divina. I carciofi eccezionali e il tiramisù una delizia. Titolare Antonio simpaticissimo. A Roma una tappa fissa.

Vuoi mangiare romanesco vero?Allora non puoi non andare in questa Ostaria. Si mangia divinamente, porzioni belle grandi, simpatia e gentilezza non mancano mai. Tutti piatti della tradizione per vivere e conoscere la vera Roma

The King dell'Arrosticino

19/08/2025: The pizza is good, the arrosticini are good, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Ample parking; on weekends, it's best to book early and eat early.
16/08/2025: We went to King dell'Arrosticino in Ardea for the Ferragosto holiday. Despite the restaurant being packed, I must say that both the orders and the food arrived quickly. The waiters were always kind and smiling, showing great availability. The food was high-quality and delicious. The delicious bruschetta of every kind, the grilled arrosticini, and the Roman pizza cooked in a wood-fired oven were excellent, and to finish, there were many homemade desserts. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend it!

24/07/2025: A beautiful place, very convenient for its proximity to Fiumicino Airport. The rooms are clean and modern, with comfortable beds. The kindness and helpfulness of the owner, Maurizio, made all the difference in choosing this place. He greeted us upon arrival and explained how the property works. The kitchen fridge had water, soft drinks, and coffee available. Maurizio offered us a shuttle service to the airport. The garden is a great place to relax and even have breakfast outside...a truly beautiful place to see. Just steps from the canal, which allows you to stroll along shops and restaurants. I recommend the restaurant Maurizio recommended: Fish Take Away, which is on the long canal just steps away; it's very good and affordable. It's not the first time we've booked here, and we've never been disappointed! In fact, we always want to return! Thanks again, Maurizio, for your kindness; you make all the difference! I'll definitely be back!
