I've been there several times and only now I realize I've never left a review. Incredible place, the osteria da Beppe.... it's Beppe! He does everything and he does everything well. Thank you very much indeed! Spectacular risotto with osso bucco!

A very special place, from the welcoming setting to the background music, everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail by a spectacular gentleman, Beppe, the owner. Excellent food, the risottos are out of this world. I recommend coming here early if you want to eat right away.

Christmas lunch with friends, Beppe welcomed us as if we were at home. The kitchen serves and manages everything alone, which makes the place even more distinctive and special. We felt incredibly pampered and enjoyed a set menu we agreed upon together, consisting of: Appetizer (mixed cured meats) Two Risottos (Eggplant 😍😍 and Giuseppe Verdi) Second Course: Sliced Beef with Potatoes House Wine (1 liter for every 3 people) Water (1 liter for every 3 people, or more) Desserts of your choice All homemade and freshly made by Beppe, price €37/person.

Unfortunately, Beppe has closed permanently since December 31st. We'll see what they'll do with this unique place, also because its uniqueness was given by Beppe. Will it become one of those radical chic places that are so popular in Oltretorrente, but that no longer represent the essence of this neighborhood?! And how will he do without his Hostaria and his loyal customers?!! We'll miss him.

Il mitico Beppe che purtroppo a breve chiuderá i battenti dopo decenni di onorata carriera. Locale storico nel caratteristico quartiere oltre torrente nel centro della città. La particolarità del locale sta nel suo proprietario, eclettico personaggio tutto fare,che da solo gestisce, prende ordinazioni, va in cucina a mantecare i risotti, apparecchia, sparecchia,serve i piatti,porta da bere, pulisce(oddio quello forse non troppo😂),fa la cassa,offre amari al banco,chi più ne ha più ne metta. Un mix di salumi e formaggi accompagnati da verdure miste come entrè,rigorosamente dopo aver aspettato decine di minuti in attesa di riuscire a richiamare la sua attenzione,ma si sá,le star si fanno sempre attendere. A seguire il piatto forte della casa,i risotti, capitanati da quello con ossobuco suo vero cavallo di battaglia dal 1997, più vari tris per assaggiare un po' tutti i gusti. Abbondanti caraffe di vino rosso di dubbia qualità ad innaffiare il palato. Per finire dolci e caffè. Prezzo finale piuttosto contenuto,ma comunque in linea col servizio e la qualità proposta. Non dò 5 stelle solo per l eccessivo uso di glutammato nel risotto,ma Beppe si meriterebbe il massimo già solo per il personaggio che è, lascerá un vuoto incolmabile nel panorama della ristorazione cittadina . We ate very well! Exquisite risottos and Beppe made us feel at home, he does everything: from cooking to room service and he is an exquisite person, when I return to Parma I will definitely return to eat there
