Medium-sized location, with outdoor seating as well, very clean and well-maintained. Fast and efficient service. Varied menu featuring Japanese cuisine and sushi. Friendly and helpful staff. Good value. Excellent quality of ingredients: the only dish I unfortunately didn't like was the scallop dish.

Quality sushi, with impeccable service and a well-kept venue. It deserves all five stars because it's a "ma" that no one can deny. If you offer a midweek lunch menu at a price that's even lower than the most intimate alliuchenit, you can't charge me €7 for a glass of tea and two moci (ice creams) because I'll lose my appetite. 😭

Truly beautiful place, fun to eat on the tatami, very kind, attentive, and fast staff. Delicious, varied dishes, in different price ranges and not the usual ones. For those who want, there are also the classic dishes. Very fresh fish, top-quality ingredients. REALLY 🔝. If I can, I'll add photos of the dishes.

We booked with The Fork and ate à la carte. Prices are a little high, but with the discount, it's definitely worth it. Everything was delicious and definitely better quality than Ayce. Excellent service. I'd go back!

06/07/2026: For 30 years, it's still the best Japanese restaurant in Milan. But yesterday the cirashi rice was worse than usual. TO ALL ANIMAL LOVERS: POPOROYA DOESN'T ACCEPT DOGS!!! Milan in 2026!!! We waited in the usual line, and finally the waiter told us they didn't allow pets and pointed to the bench... who knows how many two-legged beasts he'd have to leave outside! Too bad, my first Japanese restaurant (40 years ago) won't be my last! I'm discovering Ono Sushi Reserve on Via Broggi, it doesn't look bad, I'll write the review at the end, but in the meantime, I'm here with Bonnie 😍
28/06/2026: We've been going to Poporoya for years. The taste is still excellent, but despite the high prices, which we're happy to pay for their quality, they've definitely reduced the portion size. Before the change of location, one uramaki would fill me up. Now I finish it and I'm still hungry. Too bad...

09/04/2026: The atmosphere is a bit dark, but could be improved with decorations! The food is also average, but the rice often falls apart. The staff is friendly. There's a lot of room for improvement, even on small things.
08/04/2026: Simple, the dishes weren't sophisticated, but they're well-priced, and at lunchtime they have a 3-course option for under €12; the last course is sushi with a few pieces. The service is very fast. It's located near the science museum.
