I booked at Gustavo's in Galatone for May Day, starting from Nardò (just 5 km away), in a group of 8 people. What can I say? It was an incredible surprise! The €30 fixed menu was a real bargain: welcome cocktail (alcoholic or non-alcoholic), a rich selection of local cheeses and 5 abundant and delicious starters. The first courses, served in the center to share, were spectacular: paccheri all'assassina, spicy at the right point, and paccheri with lard, creamy and tasty. The highlight, however, was the black suckling pig, very tender and cooked to perfection – an explosion of flavour! To close, an ice cream cone included in the price, truly appreciated. The location is wonderful, with both outdoor and indoor spaces, perfect for enjoying the day. The atmosphere was relaxed and cheerful, accompanied by a DJ set with company music that invited you to sing along. All the food was 0 km, you could feel the quality and freshness. We took bottles of Schola Sarmenti wine (15€), excellent to accompany lunch. The service was friendly and attentive, even though the place was full. I recommend Gustavo to anyone who wants a day of taste and relaxation, perhaps for special occasions or lunches with friends. Da Nardò is very close, and I will return soon!

Among the best places in Salento for quality/price, local food at km0, courteous and knowledgeable staff. Characteristic place, room with star vaults and fireplace inside, where in winter you have the feeling of going back in time. The menu is that of the day for 30 Euros and includes appetizers, first courses, second courses and dessert. The second is always the classic grilled mialino. STRA-Recommended!

Evening in pleasant company even if one less table in the room would be ideal considering that even the waiters had difficulty serving the tables and furthermore the music coming from the main room was disturbing as the acoustics were not adequate for the environment. The menu was surprisingly very good, the sliced ​​roasted black pig and the decomposed potato pitta.

We visited this restaurant in a Sunday lunch and they served a fix menu with a cost of 30 euros per person. The portions were big and the food was very delicious and fresh. The service was fast and gentle and friendly! Recommended for everyone who loves nature and good traditional Italian food.

Wow! Stellar lunch! Top! The restaurant space is beautiful. We were here in March and they had the fireplaces burning and it was such a nice atmosphere. The service and food were phenomenal! I can’t wait to go back again and again! Each of the antipasti courses were phenomenal and some of the best food I’ve had in Salento. The pasta was unbelievably delicious, as was the black pig secondi. From start to finish one of the best meals and experiences we’ve had in Salento. Gustavo is a perfect combination of rusticity and elegance: a warm and welcoming atmosphere, furnishings with attention to the smallest details and soft lighting give a touch of class. An Explosion of Authentic Flavors as the menu is a hymn to Salento cuisine, with dishes prepared with fresh, seasonal ingredients. I recommend it for dinner as a couple or with friends👌✔️

Conosco Gustavo da sempre e si conferma una certezza. Ho festeggiato il mio compleanno sabato ed è stato tutto perfetto! Mi hanno riservato una saletta privata con la cassa e abbiamo ballato e cantato. Ha organizzato tutto Sara persona affidabile e attenta ai dettagli. Tutto ha superato le mie aspettative. Lo staff è stato magnifico. Grazie ancora. Il menú è sempre fisso antipasto primo e secondo e anche il dolce… rimane uno dei posti dove vale la pena andare a mangiare fuori. Locale accogliente , personale cordiale, tutto molto buono, torneremo sicuramente, consiglio vivamente. Il maialino è molto buono.
