Grotta d'Abruzzo In Roma

Four of us arrived in Rome late afternoon and asked our hotel for recommendation for somewhere to have early dinner nearby. We were not disappointed, great welcome and excellent service, had lasagne which was lovely with homemade pasta. We felt we had to return which we did twice, just for coffee the second time and again had same welcome as if we had ordered a 3 course meal. On our last evening in Rome we again had dinner here, gave our largest tip in Rome for the excellent service although the food this time was a bit disappointing. One of my friends had sea bream and a different waiter brought this on a trolley to our table and transferred it from the presentation plate to dinner plate along with the sliced potatoes taking some time to do this. Then they brought the grilled salmon for the rest of us and we were glad to see that there was no presentation this time. The salmon was dry and we did not enjoy it, and although the sea bream was nice it was cold along with the potatoes and it would have been better and quicker to have plated the food in the kitchen to avoid the delay.

Excellent food and service at this lovely restaurant. We were greeted by the friendly staff and offer a complimentary starter which was lovely. All the food we ordered was delicious and of an excellent quality. We also enjoyed a complimentary Limoncello to finish. Highly recommended, would visit again
