Gong Oriental Attitude In Milano

A restaurant that doesn't go unnoticed; the elegance of the place is evident from the outside. Fearful of the large number of seats, I thought it was just a decoy, but I was proven wrong. The service is worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant, with an ever-watchful eye. Never an empty glass, never a dirty table. Chiara is super attentive, and the sommelier is knowledgeable about the wineries featured on the wine list. Phenomenal food, a well-deserved 5 stars.

We had dinner at Gong and were enchanted. As we entered, they removed our coats, put them in the cloakroom, and showed us to our seats. We opted for their classic tasting menu and chose a Jacquesson 748 Champagne. All the dishes were exceptional, of the highest quality, with great technique and remarkable passion from the kitchen staff. The service was impeccable and absolutely appropriate for the restaurant's location. For dessert, we asked the sommelier for a suggestion for a sweet wine to pair with it: we were served a glass of Jurançon Symphonie de Novembre from Domaine Cauhapé, simply amazing. We will definitely return and highly recommend it.

A culinary experience, a gastronomic experience, a sensory experience: this is the Gong menu. Dishes created like works of art, with flavors perfectly blended. The waiter pampered us with his attention and guided us through our experience, explaining the dishes and their pairings. The portions were small, but despite our large meals, we weren't at all hungry; on the contrary, quite the opposite. The atmosphere, the staff, the food: everything was top-notch. The only flaw is the price, but it's understandable that to maintain this level of service (some dishes were served by two waiters), the management has to shoulder the high costs. I highly recommend it, and I'll add that it was my first experience of this kind, and I was a bit skeptical, but I was completely satisfied and fascinated by this new perspective on food.

Very nice place and excellent service. I tried the tasting menu. Two dishes weren't up to par: the Gong rice, which was very basic, and the dessert, which ended up being too sweet. A negative point that affected my opinion was the presence of dogs, even though it was clearly stated when booking that pets were not allowed on the premises.

Exceptional food, service and location.

Beautiful restaurant with great service; the dishes are spectacular and the preparation is excellent. The squid ink cracker was really crunchy and flaky, I imagine it was freshly baked. You can find it elsewhere, but not with the same crunchiness. This attention to detail makes all the difference. The tuna tartare was truly phenomenal, and the rainbow ravioli were also truly interesting. The Venere rice was a bit disappointing, perhaps a little subdued compared to the other dishes. Everything else was very good. However, the real masterpiece was the mooncake. This is truly a work of art, and we've never had a dessert like this before. Whoever made it knew exactly what an absolute masterpiece it was because they were smiling from side to side 😁 when they served it to us. We absolutely loved it, and I don't think we'll be lucky enough to find something like it again. In short, a great experience, and congratulations once again to the pastry chef.
