Golosofia… already in the name of this place there is everything I'm looking for. The play on words between "gluttony" and "philosophy" contains the idea of ​​ancient knowledge and authentic flavour, conveying a conscious and passionate approach to culinary pleasure. So, in mid-September, together with friends who have been frequenting this place for some time and have fallen in love with it, we decide to stop for lunch at Sandro and Cristina's, in the heart of Sovana, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy: the perfect place to savor the true flavors of the Tuscan Maremma. The variety is wide: Maremma wines, platters with fresh cured meats, pecorino cheese and local products. We let ourselves be tempted by the Chianina carpaccio and a rich platter of cured meats, cheeses and croutons, a very buttery buffalo mozzarella all accompanied by a bottle of Nodo Damantae brut sparkling wine. It is a perfect choice: lunch is simply delicious and the atmosphere is welcoming and refined, ideal for a relaxing break and for buying some gourmet souvenirs to take home as a souvenir. And of course the quality/price ratio is excellent. In a wine shop and taste shop like this, Golosofia is not just about eating and drinking, but about exploring authentic flavours, enhancing local products and immersing yourself in the gastronomic culture of the area. An experience to be savored to the full... highly recommended!

Golosofia… già nel nome di questo locale c’è tutto ciò che sto cercando. Il gioco di parole tra “gola” e “filosofia” racchiude l’idea di un sapere antico e di un sapore autentico, trasmettendo un approccio consapevole e appassionato al piacere culinario. Così, a metà settembre, insieme ad amici che frequentano questo posto da tempo e se ne sono innamorati, decidiamo di fermarci a pranzo da Sandro e Cristina, nel cuore di Sovana, uno dei borghi più belli d’Italia: il luogo perfetto per assaporare i veri gusti della Maremma Toscana. La varietà è ampia: vini maremmani, taglieri con salumi freschi, pecorini e prodotti locali. Ci lasciamo tentare dal carpaccio di Chianina e da un ricco tagliere di salumi, formaggi e crostini, una burrosissima mozzarella di bufala il tutto accompagnato da una bottiglia di spumante brut Nodo Damantae. È una scelta perfetta: il pranzo è semplicemente delizioso e l’atmosfera accogliente e curata, ideale per una pausa rilassante e per acquistare qualche souvenir gourmet da portare a casa come ricordo. E naturalmente è ottimo il rapporto qualità, prezzo. In un’enoteca e bottega del gusto come questa, Golosofia non è solo mangiare e bere, ma esplorare sapori autentici, valorizzando i prodotti locali e immergendosi nella cultura gastronomica del territorio. Un’esperienza da assaporare fino in fondo… consigliatissima!

During a short holiday in this dream land, we came across a wonderful place: Golosofia. Cristina, with her kindness and competence, made us feel at home by letting us taste local specialties and excellent wines. If you happen to pass through Sovana, Golosofia is an obligatory stop.

If you find yourself visiting the small and delightful village of Sovana you cannot miss a stop here. Really kind owners, with a way of doing things that is not at all intrusive but ready to satisfy any request. You can taste typical local products directly on site, accompanying them with a glass of excellent wine or even purchase typical Maremmani wines and many other quality products as a gift. If there is an opportunity we will not fail to return, thank you for the welcome!
