Gino's Bakery In Firenze

A small shop to pick up a few things before continuing your journey. They have a good selection of Italian products, all of good quality. And the prices are reasonable despite being right across from the Ponte Vecchio. The guy who runs it is very friendly. He speaks English and Spanish very well. The cannoli is excellent.

There are places you go because you saw a pretty picture on Instagram. And then there are places like Gino's Bakery, where you go in out of curiosity and leave wondering why there aren't more bakeries like this. The space is small, cozy, and has that typical atmosphere of good Italian bakeries, where the smell of freshly baked bread and fresh pastries does half the work. It doesn't try to be extravagant or overly modern; it simply does what it knows best. We tried several products and it was difficult to find one that disappointed. The croissants were light, flaky, and crispy, the focaccias were incredible, well-filled and with fresh ingredients, and the sweets had that perfect balance between flavor and sweetness, without exaggeration. You can tell there's a concern for the quality of the raw materials, and you feel it in every bite. The service also deserves special mention. The team was friendly, patient, and always available to explain the different products, even with the constant flow of customers. We never felt rushed. The prices are very fair for the quality offered, especially considering we were right in the center of Florence. It's one of those places where you eat very well without feeling like you only paid for the location. If you're looking for breakfast, a snack, or simply a break during a day exploring the city, Gino's Bakery is a hard choice to beat. One of those simple places that stays in your memory long after the trip is over.

It is located near the Ponte Vecchio. I purchased cannolos from the bakery. I bought pistachio and Nutella cannolos, and they were extremely sweet. The spreads, such as pistachios and Nutella, had a rich flavor, but the sweetness was so intense that it was difficult to eat. They taste good if you eat them immediately after purchase, but if you let them sit for a while, oil seeps out and gives off a rancid oil smell.

Tried the Almond pastry - lile Marzipan- very yummy! And Nutella cannoli- delicious fresh pastry, very crispy and a flufdy filling. Highly recommend! Also a very friendly cashier :)

One of the best pastries and family owned. Good place to get something to eat and walk near by to seat and have cafe.

Literally the best cannoli I have ever eaten. When I'm traveling, I don't tend to repeat places so I can maximize my eating experience. I made an exception with this place.

We went to try cannoli, but due to our sensitivities, we asked if it contained alcohol or pork products. The person who told us that cannoli contains pork fat. I wanted to thank them for informing us.

Had two really excellent cannolis here. No notes.
