LOCATION: The Lido Giardino di Monsignore Pizzeria and Restaurant is located in Contrada Torre del Porto in Mattinata. A PERSONAL EXPERIENCE: This restaurant is well-known among tourists and locals alike. When you arrive, you can enjoy an incredible view of the sea. Especially at sunset, when the sun disappears behind the rocks, the sea is tinged with various colors. On the several occasions I've been, I've enjoyed both the fish-based first and second courses, as well as the pizzas. Each dish reflects the tradition of the Gargano. The restaurant has ample parking, a significant detail in an area that's very busy during the summer months. The photographs I took are testimonies that tell a story, more than a thousand words. FUN FACT: DID YOU KNOW THAT...? The Port Tower was one of the ancient coastal towers built in the 16th century to guard against Ottoman pirate raids. A wonderful discovery. We hadn't heard of this place, but we'll definitely be back. We had spectacular mussels with pepper sauce and the best fried fish we've ever had. Not to mention the cianguilerie, some truly delicious traditional sweets. Equally important is the truly relaxing and well-maintained location. We were also satisfied with the bill. The portions and quality were unparalleled. We'll definitely be back, it's a charming place.

Excellent restaurant serving always fresh local dishes. The terrace overlooks the sea. You can also order the same dishes on the menu for takeout. The staff is always friendly. Prices aren't prohibitive, but they're not cheap either, largely justified by the consistently high quality of the food.

We've been coming here every August for 10 years and until last year we'd never had any complaints, quite the opposite. We've been back twice in 10 days since August 1, 2025, and both times the service was poor. The main course took a long time to arrive for one of the four of us, so the three of us had finished eating by the time the fourth in our group was served! Unacceptable! Either everyone is served at the same table at the same time, or no one is served at all! This needs to change, otherwise we won't be back!

Exquisite and varied seafood cuisine. Beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. Friendly service, albeit occasionally a bit sluggish. But definitely recommended!
