While not the best in Florence, the owner was lovely, which was a plus. Average Florentine gelato!

It's a tiny place that's easy to miss. They have the best traditional cannoli I've ever tasted; they make them fresh to order so they're perfectly crispy. They also have traditional ice cream flavors that aren't so common, like the olive oil one, which is delicious! The atmosphere is lovely, and the service is very friendly!

Carabè Firenze was undoubtedly one of the best surprises of our trip to Florence. From the moment we walked in, we were served by a charming lady, always smiling and with a kindness that's hard to find these days. We felt she might be the owner, given the warmth with which she treated both the shop and the customers. She also told us she had lived in Burgos, which made the conversation even more personal and special. A truly lovely woman. We hope she always continues serving with such joy, because people like her make a place memorable for more than just the food.
And speaking of the gelato: amazing. The quality of the ingredients was evident; the flavors were intense, natural, and incredibly creamy. After trying several gelaterias in Florence, this was clearly the best gelato in the city, in our opinion.
The only thing that could be improved was that the cone was a bit thin and not very sturdy, so it softened quite quickly with the gelato. It wasn't anything serious, but a slightly firmer cone would have made the experience perfect.
Even so, the quality of the gelato and, above all, the friendly and welcoming service made us leave delighted. It's one of those places you'd return to not only for the food, but also for how they make you feel. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to Florence. Highly recommended.

Authentic gelato shop. We went out of our way a few times just to get gelato from them
The peach sorbet was my favourite

Good gelato, good granita.
As a Sicilian, I recommend them because some flavors reminded me of the flavors I was looking for (though they were missing a dark chocolate that resembled Modica chocolate).
Prices updated to Florence market prices.

My favorite granita spot in Florence! I've been coming back for three years running because they're so delicious. I only learned this year, though, that you can order two flavors in the same glass; I'm definitely making a note of that for next year. All the flavors are good, but my favorites are melon, raspberry/lemon, and peach. I also love the blackberry one, but it's so heavily flavored that it gives me an allergic reaction every time (but I keep going back anyway).
The staff is always very friendly. The place is super cute and pleasant, and although the shop is small and only has two little benches to sit on, I've always managed to find a seat. There's also a restroom, which is always a plus.
In short, I highly recommend it for the granitas! I love them so much that I've never even tried the ice cream.

The shop has a charming, authentic Sicilian atmosphere, and the staff were friendly. We tried the gelato, but it was honestly just average. Compared to other gelato shops we visited in Italy, the texture wasn’t as creamy or rich as we expected.
That said, I’ve heard their granita is what they’re really known for. We didn’t get a chance to try it, so if I visit again, that’s definitely what I’ll order.
