This gelato was pretty fantastic I got a Stracciatella cup, and the flavor was incredible Firstly, the gelato was filled with bits of chocolate throughout, which added a ton of wonderful textural contrast. This made parts of it really crunchy to eat Rather than being liquidy and creamy, the overall gelato felt more solid - which made eating it a really pleasant experience I have to say I very much enjoyed this cup. Overall, low prices, and a fantastic place to go if you're looking for gelato. 9/10

OMG I went 4 times during my 2 days in Florence. I visited here 4times while I'm staying in firenze for 2 days😂 It was soooo good! BEST granite I've ever had!!!! The moment I took a bite of granita, I realized that there was no need to go to other stores in Florence. There is no way a more delicious granita exists than this. It's a bit small(€4) but taste is soooo good. Def worth it to try. If you don't want to lose your opportunity to enjoy best granite in Italy 👍🏻 I really recommend the melon flavor. Melon was my fav. Lemon just can't go wrong. Of course, the fruit gelato is also very delicious... Fruit gelato was perfect too😭😭 The taste of watermelon is really watermelon... awesome. Watermelon was my fav. Melon is yum too Pineapple is also good😂😂 The staff is so friendly... Staff was so kind🥹🥹 It's such a shame that I can't come back to this store after leaving Florence... Excellent ice creams, especially the sorbets and granitas! The best I found in Florence and I am very demanding when it comes to ice cream! I had citrus ice cream twice.

It has a bit of a smoothie texture. I personally prefer it to be denser, but it’s still delicious.

There is an unfortunate trend in Florence and Rome to pass off essentially a slushie as a graníta, which is a travesty. If you see a tank filled with bright colored pureed ice, that is a slushie. It is a different food. Graníta is labor and fruit (or expresso) intensive and is served with a spoon, and in the case of caffé, with whipped cream. The flavors include pistachio and almond as well as seasonal fruits. Sicily is the graníta kingdom, so it is not surprising that this Sicilian gelateria makes superb granítas. Caffé, but also pistachio, almond, lemon, whatever is fresh on the vine. We discovered Carabe a a trip or two ago (before the pandemic) and were so happy to find it alive and well. The proprietor is exceptionally kind, and the shop has a very nice vibe.
